A 19th century South Staffordshire oval enamel patch box Ad Nelson, width 5.5cm together with an American Civil War era brass tobacco box PATD Jan 24 1860 C. Parker decorated with the Tomb of Washington and two horse riders, a tortoise shell circular snuff box with miniature portrait of a young Napoleon II after Marcke and a 19th century horn snuff box with contents. (4) Ivory exemption 1W8BY1GJ Condition report, patch box with extensive cracking and losses, American box with remnants of silver plate and lid hinge repaired.
A mid 19th century fine18ct gold key wind pocket watch engine turned decoration to both side of case with an empty cartouche to front, Roman numeral chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial on a white enamel, Chester 1858 hallmark 74.59g with original fitted case, with two winding keys. Condition report, crystal missing, light scratches.
A Henry E Peck's Dust Proof Lever pocket watch. Roland Morris collection, together with a Lanco 15 Rubies movement with case (lacking enamel chapter ring), a Patent Chronograph movement, a white metal pocket watch, a pocket watch case marked Fine Silver, a pocket watch movement with central seconds hand, winding keys and base metal Albert chains. Roland Morris was a well known maritime archeologist, historian, writer and entrepreneur based in Cornwall, particularly Penzance. His most famous discovery was the wreck of the Association also working on other major wrecks around the Cornish coast. He also opened the Admiral Benbow a much celebrated pub filled with nautical themed decoration.
A late 19th century 18ct half hunter stem wind pocket watch by P A Guye London serial No. 68731 with blue enamel roman numerals to outer case, monogrammed back case, dust protector, white enamel dial and subsidiary seconds dial, total weight 94.09g with original fitted case. Condition report, chips, crack and small loss to enamel, appears to be working.
With fitted leather case together with teak cased thermometer made G.H. Zeal London 1954 G.P.O, a brass G.P.O Brannan No. 5 with case, a large cast iron key, another key, a white metal pipe tamper, a brass spigot, a sovereign rocker type balance by Harrison ion box, a box of relays, a walnut clamp and a brass and enamel plaque for the Instituto Hidrografico Marinha Portugal signed S Machado. Two pocket watches. A gold fob watch stamped as 9ct gold on inner case numbered 1076, weight 25.7g And a silver pocket watch inscribed 'La Trobe 55 College Green, Bristol R' to white enamel dial. Birmingham 1878 hallmarks to inner case numbered 51841. Case diameter 43mm, weight 87.8g. Both sold AF.
A full hunter pocket watch stamped K9 (9ct gold). White enamel dial with sub seconds dial and Roman numeral hour markers. Front and back cases engraved inside with Trade Mark above B&C inside a shield (possibly symbol for Mathey Brothers, New York), and numbered 57132. Inner plate inscribed 'Ancre Ligne Droite, 15 Rubis, Balancier Compense No. 57132.' Movement inscribed 'E. Pacot & Co, No. 57132.' Case diameter 50mm. 117.4g. Watch is winding and ticking however we cannot guarantee its functionality or timekeeping.
An H. Samuel 9ct gold pocket watch. White enamel dial. inscribed H. Samuel Manchester with sub seconds dial. Inner case with Chester 1927 hallmarks, sponsor BB, inscribed 8146. Top wind, movement numbered 17724. Case diameter 48mm. Watch is winding and ticking but we cannot guarantee its timekeeping or functionality. Gross weight 84.96g
A Russian silver and cloisonne enamel bracelet, stamped BB. Indistinct marks, 84 visible.Overall the bracelet is in very good condition. Enamel is in good condition. There is a couple of small losses on the clasp, please see attached photo. Some discolouration/ tarnishing to the silver. Clasp working well.
A brass cased carriage clock compendium, with barometer and compass, early 20th c, with shaped brass handle, and six turned feet, two white enamel panels with black lettering and numerals. Worn makers mark, two circular glasses to the top, to a dial compass and the balance wheel and adjuster, with key. In a fitted brown leather, red lined travel case with twin doors. 8cm h, case 12cm h Clock, overall condition appears to be appropriate for age, with some discolouration to brass. Working order not checked. Case, damage to top hinge on right hand side, absence of handle, wear is consistent with age and use.
