A silver mounted strut pocket watch case, Birmingham 1912, 11 cm high, and a plated Goliath pocket watch Condition report Report by MW The Goliath pocket watch won't run but the hands will set freely. The dial has one area of damage where the enamel has cracked between the two and three o'clock positions on the outside rim of the dial. There is also a further crack and hairline crack to the outside edge of the dial between the eight and nine o'clock positions. Generally the case is in good condition with wear commensurate with age. Light marking, scratching, shallow dents etc. The strut frame has a shallow dent at the bottom right hand corner. Also the corners of the frame have been knocked and have shallow dents. The inner velvet has wear and the usual marks commensurate with age. The strut well attached to the case and the push fastening secures the two parts of the frame well. Charterhouse does not guarantee the working condition of any watches or clocks.
A silver, amethyst, marcasite and plique-à-jour enamel brooch, in the form of a scarab beetle Condition report Report by GH Stamped 935. Damage and some losses to marcasites. Enamel with some scratches, wear and small losses but each section is still filled. Glue visible to back of amethyst.
A pair cased pocket watch, with Arabic numerals, the movement signed Jon Georg Schlecker, Neustadt, No 333 Condition report Report by MW The tortoiseshell outer case has a large crack where the button is to open the case which stretches into the centre of the case. When the case is closed, there is a slight warping and the case doesn't shut flush. The watch dial has some discolouration, staining and nibbles to the enamel around the outside edge. The movement works but there is no guarantee implied or given. The hinge has been repaired at some point, the case has general wear and shallow dents, marks and bangs commensurate with age. The outer case is approx. 52 cm diameter.
An early 19th century 18ct gold open face pocket watch, with quarter repeat, the enamel dial with Arabic numerals See illustration Condition report Report by MW The watch is running but no guarantee is implied of given. The dial has two major areas of damage where the enamel has been chipped from the watch face at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock. The inner dust cover for the movement is gilt metal not gold. Case diameter approx. 55 mm. The case is generally in good condition without any major damage. Only scratching, rubbing etc. commensurate with age. The overall weight of the watch including the movement is approximately 108.3 g

Collins R.S.C., of the Air Transport Auxilliary Corp., (Gloucester regiment), R.A.F. including war medal, victory medals, 1939 - 45 Star, Burma Star and War Medal together with miniatures, silver and enamel Air Transport Auxiliary lapel badge, A.T.A. gilt cap badge, pilots bullion qualification wing and single R.F.C. button. Single Victory medal to 2nd Lieut E. Stanley Collins, Worcestershire Regiment. The medals together with three black and white photos dd 1942 and 1945 depicting Nr 16 Ferry Pilots Pool, Kirkbride, Cumberland February 1942, some signed by those in the photograph, A.T.A. Certificate of Service and Commendation for Exceptional Airmanship. "On the 10/2/44 under the most adverse circumstances caused by technical failure, he landed his aircraft undamaged". Army form R.A.F.,Z.3., together with a heart rending letter written by his mother on August 7th, 1917 giving sad family news "It is with a very sad heart that I am writing this to you, my very own darling Laddy - I have only one left now, but I want you to Be Brave and bear the sad news which I have to tell you". Hand written get well letter from The Field dated 24/8/1916 from the commanding officer wishing Collins well after a battle field injury and also, card from Worcestershire Regiment "In Loving Memory of E Stanley Collins, 2nd Lieut killed in action in France in July 1917 aged 29".
