An Open Faced Keyless Presentation Pocket Watch with Connections to the Grimsby Trawling Industry, circa 1898, lever movement, enamel dial with Roman numerals, seconds, cuvette with inscription Presented to Mr Herbert B Jeffs by Alderman George Doughty MP in appreciation of his ability and faithful service during the past seven years March 1898, inside back cover stamped 18k and numbered 49995, 50mm wide, with an 18ct gold watch chain, 46g, with attached bloodstone swivel fob Presented to Herbert Jeffs by Grimsby's MP Sir George Doughty who also was chairman of the North Eastern Steam Fishing Co Ltd. Herbert was one of five sons of George Jeffs, a pioneering father of Grimsby's trawling industry, and was head salesman for Doughty's company. 20.04.15, Case with surface scratches and dents to the band, cuvette with a presentation inscription 'presented to Mr Herbert B Jeffs by Alderman George Doughty MP in appreciation of his ability and faithful service during the past seven years March 1898', later plated bow is rubbed, glass with small scratches, between 12 and 1 o'clock dial edge with a chip and a crack, movement in going order, watch chain weight excluding fob seal 46g, total watch weight 107g.

A Victorian Diamond Set Locket on Chain, an oval locket inset with an old cut diamond, within a shaped orange enamel border, with scalloped detail, estimated diamond weight 0.66 carat approximately, measures 4cm by 6.3cm, on a fancy belcher link chain, length 47cm This is in good condition. The chain fastens with a bolt ring catch. The locket is engraved to the reverse 27th November 1872. The bolt ring catch is stamped '9C', other than that there are no hallmarks, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour I/J, clarity SI2/I1. Gross weight 53.2 grams. CR made 29th April 2015

A Diamond and Enamel Bracelet, a graduated fancy link bracelet to a central disk of blue enamel decoration and a rose cut diamond cluster centrally, total estimated diamond weight 0.50 carat approximately, with locket back to the reverse, length 16.7cm The bracelet is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box catch and features a safety chain. Their is an inscription to the reverse, around the locket panel 'S PARKINSON BLAKEY HALL COLNE'. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 51.6 grams. CR made 29th April 2015

A Mourning Ring, an old cut diamond centres a blue enamel frame, with an outer border of smaller old cut diamonds, in white collet settings, on a yellow looped wire shoulder shank, with locket panel to the reverse and inscription 'Mary Monro died Janry 25 1845', total estimated diamond weight 1.00 carat approximately, finger size O The ring is in good condition. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 5.8 grams. An Art Deco Silver Gilt Cosmetic Case, the green oblong body with pierced foliate mount and onyx cabochon clasp, containing mirror, two apertures for powders and a lipstick holder, measures 10cm by 5cm, in a fitted box The case is in good condition. The green body is believed to be glass, possibly enamel or another material. There is a small chip to the green body on the reverse, near the hinge. The lipstick holder is loose. It is hallmarked with an indistinct maker's mark, 'PMV'??, London (import), 1926. Gross weight 228.4 grams. CR made 15th June 2015

A Japanese Silver, Enamel and Lacquer Dish, Meji Period, circa 1890, shaped circular, the filigree style pierced border divided into eight and decorated in fan shaped reserves with sprays of flowers in bright polychrome enamel, the central reserve decorated with Shibayama style inlay depicting branches of flowers in a bronze vase, the background ivory, the reverse of the panel lacquered, signed to a central plaque, raised on three bracket feet, 24cm wide Ivory ground split. One foot will need re-attaching as has been resoldered at some point and has detatched. Several small sections of inlay missing. Silver tarnished. No substantial losses to the enamel noticable but when examined under a loup there are a few minor losses.

A Swiss Gilt and Enamel Singing Bird Box, in the manner of Charles Bruguier, 19th century, of bombé sided rectangular form, with all over foliate engraved and engine turned decoration, the sky blue enamelled plateau with black enamel scroll angles enclosing a central hinged lid enamelled with a typical view of Lake Geneva with a boat and building in the foreground and the Alps in the background, the underside of the lid with a spray of roses and tulips, revealing a flower and scroll fretted plateau from which emerges a small feather decorated single bird, operated by front slide release, and wound by a key contained in a rear compartment, 9.8cm by 6.4cm 3.3cm Minute hairline crack in rear left sky blue enamelled angle. Tiny flakes around the hinge of the oval lid. Slight rubbing of gilding on slide. Rear left upper screw loose. Contains key. 050615

The small vase with some general wear and scuffs, some cracking to the enamels around the neck and a few small cracks to enamel near the dragons, some small knocks to foot rim, but overall appears in reasonably good condition.
