1 Medium scarce early 20th century Matte finish enamel bug. Here is a button that was prized and used many times by Jose Roman at NERBA conventions. He used it many times he told us on enamel awards and would always seem to get a comment on it. He said sometimes he won, and sometimes he didn?t when using it. Its a beautiful and unusual button in nice condition. The red matte finish is over a silvered brass base and accented with cut steels over the bugs engraved silvered brass body and wings. Glenda is from California and hand made enamel buttons for a few years and this example from the collection of the late Jean Young of California is a really nice and colorful example of her fine work. 1 medium size 19th century Guilloche & Emaux Peints enamel. Here is a striking and stunning example of enamel work during the Art Nouveau era. The central design of the Iris flower was executed in the Emaux Peints technique (hand painted) and bordered by multiple Ginkgo Leaves in raised silver and then further framed in the Guilloche (engine turned) technique. 1 Extra large early 20th century example in a colorful enamel. We found this to be an interesting and cool example of early 20th century enamel work, The soothing mint green enamel accented with the black enamel is quite stunning and the center is set with a pierced cut under celluloid patterned inset. The 4 corners are set with rare MARCASITE OME, (marcasite's have 6 facets only and steels will not have 6 facets). Jose Roman had this in his collection and says he always had positive comments on it when he used it in his competitions at NERBA. It is truly a stunning and wonderful button.
