An Art Deco chromed bronze radiator mascot,1930s, modelled as a Schneider Trophy Supermarine S.6, the tail fin with enamelled stripes, raised on a bevelled ash plinth, 16cm wide17cm deep9cm highCondition ReportThe plinth with some scuffs and marks. The enamel flaked and crackled in areas. The chrome plating rubbed through to the stem. The wings appear reattached to the underneath - with soldering remnants where the wings meet the body.
A group of Chinese famille rose porcelain,late 19th to early 20th century, comprising two bowls, 22.5cm diameter, and a mug, 9cm high,together with a Chinese porcelain figure,of a lady holding a basket of fish,33cm highand a Canton enamel wall hanging, 31cm high (5)Condition ReportHairline crack and chip to one of the bowls. Boxing Interest: A gentleman's diamond and 14ct gold signet ring, designed as a boxing ring, made for Randolph Turpin, in commemoration of him becoming Middleweight Champion of the World against Sugar Ray Robinson in 1951. Believed to have been presented to him in Madison Square Gardens, New York. The ring comprising a square mount, set to the centre with nine square princess cut diamonds, total diamond weight approx. 0.27ct, within an engraved black enamel text border, reads 'Randolph Turpin, World Champion' each corner post collet set with a small round brilliant cut diamond, the shoulders modelled to one side with a pair of boxing gloves diamond set with fifteen diamonds, each with three inset above the gloves, two diamonds inset to the cuff of the gloves and two diamonds below, the other side with a punch ball design also diamond set with three round brilliant cut diamonds, total diamond weight approx. 0.18ct and a further ten small grain set diamonds to the surround, width approx. 16mm, finger size U1/2, stamped 14k, total gross weight approx. 19.6gms. Further Details: good stones present and intact, wear to settings and slight enamel loss in areas commensurate with age. Provenance: Bonham's Sporting and Golf Memorabilia Auction, 24th February 2010, Lot 150.
Sporting: A collection of six silver hallmarked medallions to include: a silver shield medallion with enamel and gold decoration for Walsall District League, presentation inscription to reverse 1909-1910; another shield shaped medallion with gold decoration 'Hednesford Town FC 1897', suspended from an Albert chain.
