A selection of Victorian and later medallions and badges.To include: a scarce 55th (Leigh) Lancashire Rifle Volunteers gilt guest medal.Inscribed to Pte James Dickinson 55th LRV, dated 1868.Complete with ribbon and gilt pin suspension bar.Plus, 2 1937 Leigh Corporation coronation medals, 2 Swiss BLS train badges, a WW2 era WVS civil defence badge, an RAF comfort committee volunteer badge, 2 Scandinavian badges (one sterling silver), 3 x pairs of 14th/20th Hussars white metal collar badges, a South Wales Borderers cap badge, plus 5 other items.21 items.Condition: generally good.The enamel badges appear to be intact and free of damage.One of the clasps on the badges is bent over and wont hold the pin in place.

WW1 Austrian enlisted man’s brass belt buckle.With retainer loops and prongs to reverse.Plus a WW2 era NSDAP public service decoration, with silvered finish and enamel detail.And, a WW2 era bronze German African campaign medal.3 items.Condition: the buckle is a little bent at the edges and some minor verdigris to the reverse side.The public service decoration is missing its original suspension, and now has a large pin as a replacement.The German African campaign medal has a good overall colour and patina, but is missing its original ribbon - there is some extremely minor verdigris spots to the front side.
WW2 era SS sleeve, machine embroidered in light grey cotton on a black backing.Made in the so called ‘hammerhead’ style.Evidence of uniform removal, with visible stitch holes in places at the edge.Plus, a WW2 era German enamel stickpin for the Reichskolonialbund (Reich Colonial League).Silvered eagle and pin, with enamel infill.Marked Ges Gesch FBH to the reverse side.And, a WW1 era gilt bronze Furs Vaterland 1914 German medal with ribbon.Condition: generally good.3 items.The SS eagle has normal signs of service wear, with loose threads to the edge and a small amount of glue residue to the right wing tip.The stickpin is good, with undamaged enamels and minimal wear to the silvered finish.The gilt bronze medal has some wear to the finish, a couple of verdigris spots, and the ribbon is fairly dilapidated.
WW2 era Soviet Russian Order of the Patriotic War, with original certificate.Enamelled detail to the front and screw back fitting to the reverse.The number to the reverse (29225) matches the numbered certificate.The certificate is dated from 1943.Condition: generally very good.The enamel is intact, with only the lightest signs or wear and a little ingrained old polish.The screw back fitting has toned with age, as has the back of the badge in places.The certificate is in 4 pieces, and is held together with tape, but is still quite readable.2 items.
