Clock winds but not ticking at present. The surround is with wear throughout. With rust to key winds and hands. Chip and some hairlines to enamel dial. Back cover missing. LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU AND ALABASTER MANTEL CLOCK,the twin train eight day movement stamped Barrie, Edinburgh, striking on a bell, the white enamel dial set with Roman numerals and further inscribed, the durumhead over a single porcelain panel handpainted with a putto, the case cast and adorned with acanthus leaves and foliate swags over a shaped alabaster and four ormolu feet, 29cm highCondition good to fair. Starts ticking but slowly stops, movement wil, require attention.Hands and key holes have become rusted. Gilt surround with wear as per use and age, including some pitting. Some minor nibbles to alabaster.Additional images now available.

LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORMOLU AND FAUX TORTOISESHELL BOUDOIR TIMEPIECE,with one train thirty hour movement, the white enamel dial set with Arabic numerals interspersed by foliate swags, the glass with stone set bezel, the case with putto finial over a crossed torch with quiver of arrows, beaded border, Ionic pilasters and four beaded feet, 28cm highClock movement will require some attention - ticks before slowly stopping. Degree if looseness and restoration towards base of cherub figure, I.e, evidence the beaded borders been reapplied. Further restoration to some sections of faux tortoiseshell and some splits. Restoration to enamel of dial around 5-8. Front left pilaster missing. Additional images now available.
