19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY 8-DAY LONGCASE CLOCK, painted moon phase dial signed 'Warwick High St. Birmingham', subsidiary dials, line-inlaid of crossbanded case with fluted hood pillars and 1/4 pilasters, canted base on bracket feet, two-train weight-driven movement rack striking a bell, 240cms highThere is missing veneer in a few places (see photographs)The face has lots of enamel chips especially around the edges, the hand are bent and the painted moons have a few paints chips (see photographs)The hood has a crack in the top and again has some missing veneer.I think the glass has been replaced, it seems a lot thicker than it should be and the putty around the glass looks new.There is a chip to one corner.The eagle finials on the top all look a bit damaged, there are a lot of dings and dents as well as this they are all very loose when sitting on the hood

WILLIAMS, LONDONDERRY, arched hood enclosing painted 12-inch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and signed, above arched panelled door between chamfered angles, moulded base on plinth, 8-day anchor escapement with count wheel striking and coiled gong, 201cms highThe clock face has some enamel chips to the edges and there are some rust spotsThere is a antique dealers sticker on the inside, I think it has been cleaned and refurbished, the face looks cleaned.The gut has been replaced but most parts look genuine.The hood has a crack to the top and a few chips to the front otherwise it looks nice and clean. The glass feels original, it feels very thin.The body has general wear, there are some chips to the body and some scratches, there is a crack to one side.The key and lock work well.
