A George V hallmarked silver cigarette box mounted to the front with a mother of pearl Machine Gun Corps badge, traditionally worn by wives and sweethearts of serving soldiers during the Great War and with inlaid enamel plaque to the top 'Salonique', a part of northern Greece occupied by Allied soldiers during the Great War, mainly British and French and a little known campaign, included is related research and provenance. CONDITION REPORT During the campaign large allied losses were suffered around 28,600 British and 30,500 French. The Machine Gun Corps was a war raised unit and was not in existence until the great war and was disbanded in 1922, but over its short existence over 200,000 soldiers served in its ranks, almost all transferred from other infantry regiments and corps and of those 16,575 lost their lives and thus the Machine Gun Corps became known as 'The Suicide Club'.

CONDITION REPORT Tom Bush played for Liverpool FC between 1933 and 1947 with five years out for WWII then he coached the youth team and acted as an administrator, so total service for Liverpool FC was 37 year, he also coached the England Youth Team in 1953 and sadly passed in 1969.
