Very rare 'Golden Chain of Office' for the Members of the International Olympic Committee,Designed by the sculptor Walter E. Lemcke (1891-1935) from the original ancient Greek artefacts in the Old Museum in Berlin, cast gilt-bronze, approx. 80cm., the chain linking six plaquettes featuring horseman with relay torch (silver coin from Taranto, 300 BC), javelin thrower (from bowl, 430 B.C.), discus thrower (silver coin from Cos, 500 B.C.), wrestlers (silver coin from Aspendos, 400 B.C.), runner bearing arms (from bowl, 500 B.C.) and a youth with jumping weights (from bowl, 490 B.C.), all above enamel Olympic rings from which is suspended a larger plaque with the head of Zeus (after a famous sculpture), reverse engraved XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936 at the top with the intention of leaving room for 10 future Olympiads (reference, Official report p.126/127; Olympic Games News Service No. 33), but the Golden Chain of Office was abandoned and only ever worn at the Berlin 1936 GamesThere were 68 IOC members plus IOC President Baillet- Latour at the time of the Berlin games.

9ct. gold & enamel medal from the inaugural Charity Shield in 1898 originally known as the Sheriff of London Charity Shield,the obverse inscribed SHERIFF OF LONDON CHARITY SHIELD, the reverse inscribed PRESENTED BY T.R. DEWAR ESQ., SHERIFF OF LONDON, 1897-8, mounted in a frame with blow up photographs of the obverse & reverse of the medal and printed information, 41 by 34cm.The above medal represents the first-ever match in the competition. In the opening match played on 19th March 1898 at the Crystal Palace, the Corinthians drew 0-0 with Sheffield United. It was decided by the committee that a replay was to be staged. In the replay played on 4th April again at the Crystal Palace the Corinthians and Sheffield United drew the match 1-1. It was then decided that the teams would share the honours and became joint-holders of the inaugural competition.

II, 1910-11, WEST BROMWICH ALBION, J. PENNINGTON, in original fitted case West Bromwich topped the 2nd Division table with a total of 53 points. This was achieved through the final fixtures of the season which had began with Bolton Wanderers level on points with WBA but with a superior goal average. However, Bolton lost 2-1 at Birmingham whilst West Brom beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 at The Hawthorns to clinch the title. Bolton were promoted as runners-up.

Paris, surmounted with cherubs reading under an oil lamp above a white and blue enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, on a scroll and rockwork base. 42cm wide, 36cm high; together with a French Empire style mahogany and gilt metal mounted mantle clock and a Victorian porcelain framed mantle clock, decorated in green, peach and gilt tones, 38cm high.
