A large collection of 19th Century hand written ledgers and notebooks relating to recipes and glazes detailed by Herbert John Greatbatch of Hanley, Staffordshire to include pages detailing 'Majolica in this book is for ghost oven as at Wedgwood and at Adam and Davenport Banks - the following are in use 1873', 'Majolica Enamel and Underglaze Colours', various books with details for Jasper Ware colours, a detailed account of glazes, after care and costing's, a book detailing various pricing structures for stock pieces at Wedgwood, Majolica and Jasper Book all in use in 1882', 'Jasper recipes used by H.J Greatbatch for 20 years with Adams & Bromley Shelton (along with a letter dated 1909 attempting to sell these recipes), various books with notes on porcelain and pottery processes of manufacture', a signed contract between Adams and Bromley and Herbert Greatbatch to provide glaze recipes for three years from 1873 at 30 shillings a week, a notebook containing customer orders, various retailers and manufacturers cards and personal letters, all contained within a black tin, most books with damages (qty)
Amended estimate - A Danish Sterling silver gilt and white enamel daisy brooch, designed in 1940 to celebrate the birth of Princess Margrethe, diameter 3cm, stamped marks for Anton Michelsen, Denmark, a pair of Norwegian silver gilt and guilloche enamel flower head clip earrings, Ivar T Holthe and another similar brooch stamped 925S and GND (4)
A late 19th Century Palais Royale ormolu mounted tortoiseshell combined scent and needlework casket, hinged silk lined lid with blue enamelled oval opening to reveal a velvet lined interior fitted with four gilt metal and enamel mounted scent bottles, also a bodkin and a needlecase, A/F, together with a papier mache snuff and another box. A bronze folding triptych with pierced suspension lugs to the frame, high-relief scenes reserved against a blue and white enamel field; nimbate Christ enthroned with open book flanked by nimbate robed saints, Cyrillic script legends above; enamelled medallion to the outer face. 125 grams, 15.5cm unfolded (6 1/4). Property of an Essex, UK collector; acquired London art market, 1960s-1980s. [No Reserve]. Fine condition.

A mixed group of bronze items consisting of: a Romano-Celtic round brooch with enamel sections; two Roman trumpet brooches; two medieval keys; two heraldic harness decorations; a medieval stamp seal; two Victorian model canons. 100 grams total, 20-55mm (3/4 - 2 1/4). Found near Maidstone, Kent, UK. [10, No Reserve]. Fine condition.
An ormolu striking mantel clock, circa 1890, the elaborate case with floral and figural mounts, enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement striking on a bell, 42cm high27.04.16, Ormolu is faded and the surfaces appear to have been re-lacquered, dial with cracks, movement is dirty and needs cleaning, pendulum is missing.
