Dent, Paris along with the serial number 873, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel trefoil hands and with a repeat signature, the one-piece brass case having a turned carrying handle, height 14cms, handle up; 12.5cms, handle down.
A French Edwardian carriage clock: the eight-day duration movement having a silvered platform lever escapement and striking the hours and half-hours on a gong, with a push button to the top allowing a repeat of the last hour at will, the backplate stamped with the serial number 2202, the white enamel dial having black Roman hour numerals and shaped blued steel hands and having a subsidiary alarm setting dial, the brass serpentine-shaped case with bevelled glass to all sides and surmounted by a fluted shaped handle, complete with original numbered key and original travelling box, height 16cms (handle up), 14.5cms (handle down).
Delettrez a Paris, a bronze and ormolu mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with an outside countwheel and having Brocot regulation to the pendulum, the backplate stamped Delettrez, Paris, the round white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel hands and with a repeat of the signature below VI o'clock, the bronze case profusely decorated with ormolu mounts to the front and edges and standing on a richly decorated ormolu base, surmounted by a bronze figure probably depicting the 17th century French playwright, poet and actor, Jean-Baptiste Poquelin better known by his stage name, Molière, seated in a thoughtful pose whilst writing, height 53cms.* Biography Jean-Antoine Delettrez was a well-known Parisian clockmaker, working from 1851 in partnership with Achille Brocot, son of the maker Louis-Gabriel, at rue Charlot 62 and with whom he continued the development the Brocot form of pendulum adjustment for regulation of timekeeping first developed by Brocot père and for which they were awarded a medal at the Paris Exposition of 1855. Following the death of Achille Brocot in 1878, Delettrez continued alone and died in May 1887.
An English Georgian bronze and ormolu mantel clock in the form of Atlas: the eight-day duration, timepiece single-fusee movement having an anchor escapement, with the pendulum bob affixed with a plaque depicting a female head, the round white enamel convex dial having black Roman numerals, with blued steel moon hands and a cast gilded bezel of floral decoration, all being held on the shoulders of a bronze depiction of the God Atlas, standing on a square bronze base with ormolu mounts to the sides and a further ormolu mount to the front depicting an eagle within a wreath, with acanthus-leaf mounts to the plinth, height 35cms.
An early 20th century enamelled cross pendant: decorated in polychrome enamel depicting images of Saint Basil, Saint John Chrysostom, Saint John the Apostle-Evangelist and the Virgin Mary centring an image of Christ in the Byzantine style, the reverse engraved 'Dal 1914 - 1918 Loyaute' and with compartment (glass vacant) approximately 41mm total length, 12.5gms gross weight.

Henri Jacot, Paris a striking carriage clock: the eight-day duration movement having a silvered platform lever escapement and striking the hours and half-hours on a gong, with a push button to the top allowing a repeat of the last hour at will, the backplate stamped with the trade mark for Jacot, the initials H.J. either side of a parrot on a perch and serial number 17215, the white enamel dial having black Roman hour numerals and blued steel spade hands, the brass corniche case with bevelled glass to all sides and surmounted by a typical three-bail handle, complete with original numbered key and travelling box, height 16cms (handle up), 14.5cms (handle down).* Biography Henri Jacot, born 1796, is first recorded as working in Paris in 1820 with an address at rue Montmorency 25, renumbered 31 in 1851.
