Bautte et Moynier, an early 19th century Swiss ormolu mounted mahogany lyre shaped mantel timepiece with enamelled Roman chapter ring and classical mask pendulum decorated with foliate motifs, on later hardwood plinth with glass dome, timepiece 18cm wide, 8cm deep, 40cm high, with plinth and dome 28cm wide, 45cm high The firm of Bautte & Moynier, at 61, rue du Rhône were registered in Geneva as working from 1824-1831. Charles F. Bautte was recognized for his quality creations of watches and jewels, and his reputation was outstanding.
