Bautte et Moynier, an early 19th century Swiss ormolu mounted mahogany lyre shaped mantel timepiece with enamelled Roman chapter ring and classical mask pendulum decorated with foliate motifs, on later hardwood plinth with glass dome, timepiece 18cm wide, 8cm deep, 40cm high, with plinth and dome 28cm wide, 45cm high The firm of Bautte & Moynier, at 61, rue du Rhône were registered in Geneva as working from 1824-1831. Charles F. Bautte was recognized for his quality creations of watches and jewels, and his reputation was outstanding. Rosewood-cased single-weight Vienna wall clock, c. late 19th century, the white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds dial and Roman numerals, glazed viewing window and side panels, with brass weight and pendulum, 101cm high.CONDITION REPORT: This is lacking the surmount and finials. The wheel is detached, but present. There are wood losses to the lower part of the case and to the top. The wall mounts are attached. The clock winds ok, needs loose items attached first. There are further age-related marks and stains to the case.
