Thorburn A.R.A.' 8.5cm x 7cm, oval In a brass oval frame Provenance: Bonham's sale Fine Portrait Miniatures, 28th November 2005, lot 159.Henrietta married Thomas Wedderburn-Ogilvy (born 1814) of Perthshire, Scotland. Their marriage was in 1856, six years after this portrait was painted. The couple had no children. Haslem was an English china and enamel painter, and writer. He painted many portrait miniatures of Queen Victoria, the Royal Family and other nobility. He painted the head of Lord Byron for the Duke of Sussex as a present for the King of Greece, and at the Duke's instigation came to London and studied under Edmund Thomas Parris. He copied many pictures in miniature on enamel and was a frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy from 1836-1865.
A south Staffordshire tapered enamel travelling inkwell and pen holder, circa 1780, painted with flower bouquets and sprays, on a white ground, chained gilt metal open scroll stopper, screw-off lobed well, pull-off cover to the pen holder, 14cm (5 1/2in) high Provenance: Private Collection, Wantage.

She is shown wearing the star of the Order of the Garter and the badge of the Order of Bath. A similar enamel exists in the Royal Collection.
