Scratch approx. 6.5 or 7 cm visible in white as now slightly discoloured. Some small pox marks visible in white enamel. Unmarked. Inside rim slightly untidy (appears to be production faults rather than later damage).

A FINE 19TH CENTURY GILT BRASS AND WHITE MARBLE MANTLE CLOCK. By Japy Freres of Paris. The lever movement with outside count wheel striking on a steel bell. Circular enamel dial with Roman numerals in an unusual leaf and scroll cast case, crested with a laurel wreath and scroll. Flanked to one side with a figure of Shakespeare seated on a stool, holding a quill. The other side with theatrical trophies, on a white marble two-stage moulded-plinth. Under glass dome. 17.44" x 23" (46cm x 56cms). (1)

Enamel dial with Roman numerals, flanked to one side with a seated woman with floral garland and a sheaf of wheat on her lap, her right hand holding a sickle. On an ornate base with various trophies. The arched top with a cartouche crest, and two urn finials, above a circular dial with raised enamel Roman numerals, and a centre enamel thermometer and aneroid barometer below, within leaf carved scrolls and a central shell, 59.5" (100cm) high x 18" (46cm) wide. A FINE LARGE NINETEENTH CENTURY FRENCH BOULLE BRACKET-CLOCK. Movement by H. & L. Paris. Number 3100. With outside count-wheel and brass sun-burst mask pendulum. Circular dial with raised enamel Roman numerals, with brass centre, chased with sun-burst mask issuing vines and flowers. The top surmounted with classical woman, above two dolphin heads and a central scallop shell. Arched glass front panel applied with classical female mask with leaf tiara, issuing scrolling leaves. Two dolphins below flanking a scallop shell, on leaf-cast cabriole legs, with scroll feet. 41" (104cm) high x 16" (41cm) wide. (1)

TOGETHER with a three compartment Chinese blue-and-white pot set, decorated with dragons, in brass lockable frame. AND an Arabic blue enamel wall plaque, of leaf form. (6)

The reeded, domed cover with brass acorn finial, the front case inlaid with leaf sprays. On rectangular moulded plinth with brass feet. 14" (36cm) high x 8.25" (21cm) wide. (1)

Movement unsigned, striking on steel gong. The circular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, within a cylindrical marble drum. On a shaped base applied with griffins and anthemions and a rectangular plinth, bead-moulded in brass. On bun feet, 19" (49cm) high x 17.75" (45cm) wide. (1)
