Some spoons with losses to the enamel to the back of their bowls. Otherwise enamel in good condition. Some minor bruising along the rim of bowls. She draws inspiration for her work from the environment, employing the mantra: ‘I’m creating a ‘silver landscape for the table’’.

A cloisonné enamelled Russian silver sugar bowl. Mark of Gustav Klingert, Moscow, late 19th century. Assay master Anatoly Apollonovich Artsybashev, 1891, the rounded bowl designed with a swing handle and raised on a shallow circular foot, the sides polychrome enamelled with scrolls and beaded garlands, the handle with conforming enamel decoration, 84 standard, marked on handle hinge and underside, 5.5cm high (exc. handle), approx. 10.3cm dia., together with a small silver salt, spuriously marked Grachev, 88 standard, city mark indistinct, handle broken, the sides cloisonné enamelled in blues, green and red, 3.3cm high, total weight approx. 10ozt (2) Provenance: Property of the Late Jane Sinclair Morpeth. Condition Report: Please note that the handle on the example stamped 'Grachev' to underside is fully detached (temporarily attached in photo). General scratching, pitting, marking and nicking to both bowls. Some losses and discolouration to enamel in places. The smaller example wobbles a little on feet.
