A French 19th century gold stirrup-form glove ring, the shank decorated with polychrome enamel bearing the shield for Lambertye, ensigned by the coronet befitting the Marquis de Com-la-Granville, (the title conferred in April 1869). The gold matrix bears the motto 'Fay le bian, arrive que pourra' of the Lambertye family from the Perigord region and roughly translates to 'Do good and what will be will be'. Below it five shields; one: French, two: Loraine, three: unknown, four: Savoy, with an inescutcheon for Lambertye of Perigord, Poitou, size X 1/2
