Edward Williams by the Members of the A.E.U. for 30 years service, 30th November 1929', case number 317751, Birmingham 1925, Dennison Watch Case Co, serial 24139969, dial 41mm, 85.7g total.
A Northamptonshire type spindle sided double shafted road wagon. Understood to have been built in 1893 by a village wheelwright (unknown), owned by Mr William Farr of Yelling, Cambridgeshire and used with a team of four horses. When found in the 1970's in a dilapidated state was completely restored by Messrs. Wilson at that time. The white enamel makers name was obliterated in 1940 as part of the anti-invasion precautions.
A fine Royal Crown Derby dish from the Judge Elbert Henry Gary service. Painted by Albert Gregory with panels of flowers framed within elaborately moulded gilt borders incorporating a G. monogram by George Darlington on gros bleu and turquoise grounds. Signed by both artists, printed mark in gilt with Royal Warrant and Tiffany & Co retailers stamp, date code for 1911, 23.5cm wide. Condition report intended as a guide only.I fine condition. A pair of Russian enamelled silver pedestal egg cups. Red ground and decorated in pale blue, purple white and green with flower heads and scrolls. The pedestals are threaded and the four components can be formed as a single egg, 88 zol punch mark. Largest cup 6.5cm high, bowl 3.5cm high, 4.5cm diameter. Smaller cup 6.25cm high, bowl 4.75cm diameter, 3.5cm. Condition report intended as a guide only.Rim of the bowl that fits inside the other cup with some dents, the white enamel at the base of the same cup does not appear as glossy as the rest.
A Pair Of Edwardian Silver & Enamel Menu/Card Holders, Probably by Morden & Co Chester, Chester hallmarks, dated 1904, enamelled with an image of a fox and a game bird, engraved Papa from Nicholas to the disc base, makers marks rubbed, 4.5cm diameter, 3.395 oz, (2) Condition report In very good overall condition, both base engraved with a message “papa from Nicholas” a few black spot marks easily removed. Enamels in very good condition, hallmarks clear, makers mark rubbed.
