18th century English verge silver-gilt and tortoiseshell pair cased pocket watch, the fusee movement signed John Pickett, Marlboro, no. 141, with pierced foliate engraved balance cock, steel three arm balance, silvered regulating disc and square bluster pillars, the enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions and minute markers, within a tortoiseshell pinwork outer case, case maker 'IM' (possibly John Marsh) 50mm, key - Condition Report: - Movement - currently functioning. Dial - marks and hairlines, small chips to the outer edge. Glass - marks, scratch marks and crazing. Hands - not matching, minute hand bent. Case - inner case heavily rubbed, spilt to the edge at the opening button, outer case with marks, some small cracks/splits, some of the pinwork decorations are missing - see all images. - Condition reports are provided for general guidance only.
