A SUPERB WW2 MEDAL GROUP AND ARCHIVE OF PERSONAL EFFECTS BELONGING TO THE LATE FLIGHT LIEUTENANT ALBERT GEORGE ROACH DFC RAF The medal group comprising Distinguished Flying Cross (engraved 1943 verso and retaining its fitted case and accompanying royal letter), India General Service Medal with North West Frontier 1937-39 clasp, 1939-1945 Star (with later issued Bomber Command clasp), Air Crew Europe Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, Elizabeth II Coronation Medal and George VI Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, all with corresponding miniatures. In addition: Flt. Lt. Roach's Observer's brevets, dress uniform shirt/collar studs, enamel RAFA lapel badge, Iraq 1936 embroidered cloth patch, headset and accompanying mouthpiece/respirator, 1941 pattern sheepskin flying boots, early-war Irvin sheepskin flying jacket, Beadon flying suit (size no. 6), Observer's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book (when non-commissioned officer), Flying Log Book for Navigators, Air Bombers, Air Gunners, Flight Engineers (when commissioned officer), a Birmingham silver monogrammed cigarette case engraved internally "Presented to W/O Albert George Roach RAF by his friends at Rangeworthy upon the occasion of his receiving the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross, 1943", together with accompanying citation, documents - to include a telegram announcing the then Warrant Officer Roach's being awarded the D.F.C., reproduced photographs, service records etc. - and a large collection of paper and canvas maps and charts, including a Star Recognition chart by Francis Chichester Condition Report:Available upon request
