A LATE 18TH CENTURY WELSH OAK LONG CASE CLOCK, with eight day movement, the brass dial with enamel painted mechanical phases of the moon within the arch and inscribed "High Water at Port Eynon Key", with rococo gilt metal spandrels, the engraved dial with roman numerals and calendar aperture and makers name "Frauds Batcock Penrice" within a circular label, the hood with swan neck pendiment and blind fret frieze, the angle pillars incorporated in the door, the trunk with long shaped door flanked by fluted canted angles, the plain base on bracket feet. A nineteenth century inscription on the reverse reads: "This is supposed to be a portrait of Harriet daughter of George Kiernan of Blackhall and Drumcondra Co. Dublin. She was born 10th August 1781.
