A French gilt bronze striking four glass mantel clock, with perpetual calendar and moonphase, circa 1870, having white enamel dial with visible escapement, Roman numerals, twin winding holes for an unsigned twin barrel going eight day brass cylinder movement striking on a bell, all above calendrical dial with outer month ring, recessed centre with rolling moonphase, day dial, and date dials, both dials set in an engraved surround, the four glasses all being bevelled, apparently unsigned but movement backplate numbered 678 53, h.30cm, w.17cm Condition Report / Extra Information In running order, we cannot guarantee full functionality of calendar and moonphase but appears good.Case with significant tarnishing all over.Clock dial grubby, some surface scratches at 6-7 o'clock.Otherwise dials excellent.All glass good.Doors close well.No key.Appears in generally excellent, slightly grubby but untouched condition.
