Olof Kettunen (Finnish, 1928-2015) for Merivaara, a pair of chairs, 1950s, each of plywood with a metal frame, 57.5cm wide 37cm deep 73cm high, seat 43cm high (2)Condition ReportStructurally the chairs appear sound. Scratches, marks, and some loses to the top layer of plywood - particularly to the backrest. Some further cracks to the wood to the top layer and areas of restoration where the top layer of plywood has been reaffixed. The metal frames have some marks, scratches, and loses to the enamel. There is a paint mark to the base of one seat. When taking into consideration their age and use, the chairs appear in good overall condition and present well.
