The crown mounted with a circular-cut sapphire. The case back signed Cartier, 27312 SM and 2489. The case 1.9cm wide. Textured green leather strap signed Cartier.

Enamel decoration to the hands and reverse of the centre section. The centre ring engraved mon coeur est en vos mains, which translates to my heart is in your hands. Size N, case.

Engine-turned decoration and crest to the case back. Slide quarter repeating, with gold slide to milled band. 3/4 plate movement with Nicole patent winding work and signed E.J. Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen and Patent, London No. 10905. London marks for 1846 and maker's initials AN for Adolphe Nicole. 5.0cm wide. Nicole Nielsen manufactured for many of the major watchmaking firms of the late 19th century, including Dent. Adolphe Nicole took out the patent for keyless winding in 1844, and this watch is a very early example. Repeating pocket watches by Nicole Nielsen are uncommon.

London marks for 1951. 4.8cm wide.
