It fastens with a pin and visor catch. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'A&W' for Alabaster & Wilson, Birmingham, 1996. It is engraved to the inside of the shank but it is illegible apart from the date '1902'. The principal diamond measures 5.29mm x 5.10mm x 3.28mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 4.2 grams. CR made 20.11.23.

It is indistinctly marked but in our opinion would test as gold. The cluster measures 23.30mm diameter approximately. Due to the limitations of the settings and stone sizes under office conditions we believe the rubies are synthetic. Gross weight 12.3 grams. CR made 06.11.23.

Reynolds, London, 1927 oblong, the hinged cover with a plaque enamelled with a Venetian view, the sides engraved with foliage and the base engine-turned, later engraved inside with an inscription and dated '1937'80mm wide, gross weight 2oz 17dwt, 89grMarked inside the base and part marked inside cover with English import marks. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor bruises to the base. There are some scratches to the enamel. The gilding is pale.
