A George V hallmarked silver mounted and purple guilloche enamel seven piece dressing table set, comprising hand mirror, length 25cm, hand brush, pair of coat brushes, comb (af), button hook and a shoe horn, Charles and Richard Comyns, London 1924, contained in leather suitcase with fitted interior (af), and with canvas cover, initialled UFM, 39 x 37 x 20cm, also a group of gloves including leather examples. CONDITION REPORT: Comb holder has major areas of loss to the enamel and with associated comb, also some losses to the enamel on the button hook which also has a detached handle, one of the coat brushes has losses to the enamel next to the edge. Mirror loose in frame. Some scratches throughout. The rest of the pieces appear to be in good condition. The fittings beneath the cover are intact but the silk compartments to the main part of the inside are distressed and the canvas cover with leather corners has traces of use commensurate with use, particularly rubbing to the corners and ripping around the handle aperture.

A good polished aluminium example mounted with two pairs of crossed standards; to the centre, superimposed on the standards, an open oak wreath bearing red, white and black enamel association shield with monument and swastika. Two gilt pateri bosses support the hooks for the flash gilded chain of alternate Iron Cross and swastika links. Felt backing replaced, two thirds of chain absent otherwise still fresh condition.

Badge. Imperial Fascist League 2nd pattern membership badge circa 1934-40 A good scarce pinback example. Red, white and blue enamel disc on Union Flag design surmounted by a lion; central white disc with black swastika. VGC The Imperial Fascist League was formed 1928 in London, one of the early leaders was Captain Arnold Leese. This organisation had close links with Germany during the 1930’s with members visiting. This organisation had in the region of 150 members. Disbanded 1940.

Housed in black painted scabbard with brown leather belt loop retaining press stud securing strap. Minor service wear. GC Introduced in 1933 with the motto “Blut und Ehre” on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.
