Signage, Local, a pair of enamel signs relating to a Thomas Lloyd Esq. (1822 - 1944) and Lady Wantage, both Lockinge Berkshire. Thomas Loyd inheriting Lockinge House from Lady Wantage. (measuring 36 x 17cms approx) The house being demolished in 1947 following his death, together with a cast iron sign for Gibbons and Robinson No 1144, Vale of the White Horse Ironworks , Wantage, (measuring 25 x 51cms). also included a brass sign W Wheeler & Co Contractors, Wantage (measuring 30 x 12cms), and 4 other signs (8)
Pair of enamel decorated crackleware baluster form vases decorated with warriors on foot and horseback with impressed character mark, 15ins high approximately, together with a pair of cloisonne type floral decorated ginger jars and covers, 19th Century floral decorated plate and a quantity of various plates CONDITION REPORT Both in good condition
20th Century gilt brass cased repeating carriage clock, the enamel dial with Roman numerals inscribed Rowell and Son, striking on a gong CONDITION REPORT Gilding to case is slightly dirty, large crack upper right hand side to dial and large chip too. Marks on back door where screws have been machined, caused when produced. The clock does work. Right hand glass panel has very slight chip to upper left hand corner.
Early 20th Century brass cased ships bulkhead clock, the enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed S. Smith and Son, London, with single train movement CONDITION REPORT The clock does not work, we cannot get into it to see if it is a fusee or not. Good original condition. Name on the dial or movement is S. Smith & Son. Seconds hand for secondary dial is missing. Estimate of £50 - 80
