A Victorian mahogany National Cash Register gold coin changer, designed by John Cox, to the left eight shelves with dividers to each surface above a removable bowl, to the right a two sided glass door with two slots to the top to receive coins, above a sliding brass mechanism releasing coins into lower section and into a locked drawer (a/f missing key), bapplied white oval enamel plaque 'Sold By The National Cash Register Co. Ld., 356 Strand, London, W.C.', 43 by 16.5 by 46cm high.
Indian Sales & Service enamel sign with dark red background and showing Indian logo on the upper left of the sign. At the bottom side of the sign is the text "count the Indians on the road". It has 4 screw holes in the 4 corners and all 4 are still intact. Signs shows signs of wear but overall in good condition. Height: 41 cm. Width: 60 cm. Depth: 2 cm. Condition: Good. Curved enamel sign imitating a barber pole with the words "Modern Service" on the front of it. Bottom of sign is marked "Bob White Sign Co, Milwaukee/Pat. No. 1,688,017.". Front of the enamel sign is in good condition with some minor rust on edges and a large patch of finish missing on blue star spangled globe. Bottom edge has a patch of rust and missing finish. EIGHT TSUBA (HAND GUARDS)Edo period (1615-1868), 18th to 19th centuryThe first circular, brass with traces of enamel, chiselled with a dragon with a sword in its tail; the second oval, sentoku with a shakudo rim, pierced and carved in relief with a dragon in clouds with a sword in its tail (gilt details), the hitsuana plugged with shakudo; the third oval, sentoku and enamels, with a carp, waterfall, and clouds; the fourth mokko (four-lobed), with a raised rim embellished with tendrils in shakudo inlay, signed Kashino Naonobu with a kao (cursive monogram, as reproduced in Haynes, 06740); the fifth shibuichi, chiselled with a fur-like texture and with five Chinese characters in relief, the rim gilt and inset with rhinestones (some missing), the ryohitsu lined in gilt, signed Hirata Harunari with a kao (cursive monogram, Haynes 00844); the sixth ovoid, copper, chiselled and inlaid in shakudo and silver relief with bamboo leaves and dewdrops; the seventh hamidashi type (with the hitsuana open on one side), copper nanako with gold, silver, shakudo, and enamels depicting butterflies, signed Goto Mitsuaki with a kao (see Haynes 05128, but a later artist); the eighth ovoid, composition imitating copper, with dragons and clouds in relief. AN ART NOUVEAU SILVER AND ENAMEL MANICURE SET by Steinhart & Co, Birmingham 1909, in Liberty style, cased. Nail buffer 10.5cm longManicure set – the silver lidded pot has a very small nick to the enamel but overall good, the rest of the items all have several losses to the enamel. The fitted leather box is tired and with scuff marks and losses to the leather.

AN EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER AND ENAMEL SNUFF BOX by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1844, shaped oval, the hinged cover painted with a musical trophy, the sides further decorated with musical trophies and floral sprays, all on a cobalt blue ground, the underside engraved with scrolling foliage, presentation inscription to gilded interior. 7.5cm wide, 5.5 troy ouncesThe cover is restored to approximately seven of lobed edges with hairlines to clear glaze, mainly to the edges, some wear and touching-in to the enamel to the sides, the sides are not glazed and are matte in appearance, design possibly later.
