A fine Japanese cloisonne enamel vase, decorated with a cockerel and Pekin chicken amongst flowers and birds, 7.25ins (18.4cm) high, signed Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927)Does not appear to have been restored. The surface has not been sprayed. There is a small bruise line in the enamel on the shoulder on the reverse of the vase - this is visible on one of the images in the catalogue - it measures about 8mm long. Otherwise the vase appears to be in good condition.Provenance: Acquired by Edward John Power (1858-1916), the great-grandfather of the vendor. He was a collector of primarily oriental items, books and paintings in the late 19th/early 20th Century.
