Royal Engineer's Diamond and Enamel Regimental broochA splendid large unmarked example. Resting within laurel sprays, the Crowned Garter with central GVIR cypher. The cap of the crown in crimson enamel, the Garter in blue enamel. On the base, a red enamel scroll "Royal Engineers". The crown, cypher and laurel sprays encrusted with diamonds. Stout pin to reverse which bears a safety chain. Approx. 3.5 cm high. VGC
German third Reich. 1st class Cross of Honour of the German Mother in case of issue.A fine gilt example with blue and white enamelled arms and central black enamel swastika complete with long neck riband. Reverse with facsimile Adolf Hitler signature. VGC. Housed in original Godet & Co. Berlin fitted case of issue, the lid embossed with facsimile of the award.Instituted by Adolf Hitler on 16th December 1938; 1st Class awarded for bearing 8 or more children for the Fatherland.
39th (Dorsetshire) Regiment of Foot, Victorian Officer's shoulder belt plate circa 1825-55.A splendid rare gilt example. Rectangular plate, seeded and with burnished edges, mounted with silver star bearing gilt crowned pierced strap "39th or Dorsetshire" on a blue enamel ground. Centrally, on light green enamel ground, gilt Gibraltar Castle and Key with a scroll "Montis Insignia Calpe". Above the star, a gilt scroll "Primus In Indis"; below the star, a number of ornate battle honour scrolls. Reverse retains two hooks two studs. VGC (Parkyn 316)
German Third Reich Hitler Youth Knife by Tiger of Solingen circa 1933-38.A good worn example, the blade bearing Tiger logo with "Tiger, Solingen"', RZM M7/68 and with the motto "Blut und Ehre" removed. Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with brown leather belt loop missing press stud on securing strap. Some service wear, blade has been sharpened; diamond moves a little.Introduced in 1933 with the motto "Blut und Ehre" on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

Housed in repainted black painted scabbard with retaining press stud securing strap now absent. Some service wear overall.Introduced in 1933 with the motto "Blut und Ehre" on the blade. 41st (The Welsh) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's pre 1855 shoulder belt plate.A very fine example. Seeded fire gilt rectangular plate with burnished edges; mounted on the plate, a cut silver star bearing a gilt crowned Garter resting within laurel sprays with "XLI" and honours. Within the Garter, silver Prince of Wales' plumes set on blue enamel Reverse bears Fleur de Lis maker's mark and retains two hooks and two studs. VGC
2nd (Queen's) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's shoulder belt plate circa 1830-55.A good scarce example. Gilt rectangular plate mounted with a crowned pierced oval strap inscribed "Pristinae Virtutis Memor" on red translucent enamel ground; (crazed) with Paschal Lamb over "2" to centre on blue enamel ground. Laurel sprays either side (fractured) bearing honours. Reverse retains two hooks and two studs. Some wear to gilt. GC Plate without Egypt is in Gaunt rubbings art National Army Museum
82nd Foot (Prince of Wales's Vols) Regiment of Foot pre 1855 Victorian Officer's shoulder belt plate.A good scarce example. Gilt rectangular plate mounted with silver eight pointed star, each bearing a battle honour. Within a gilt circlet inscribed "Prince of Wales's Volunteers", the Prince of Wales's plumes in silver on restored blue enamel. "82'" below the circlet. Reverse retains two loops and studs and replacement leather liner. GC

Assam badge has chips to enamel at base of circlet.(13)
A Swiss gold musical fob seal, circa 1830, with chased floral wreath atop an oval base similarly chased with flowers around top, the plain underside engraved with later monogram "GWP", the central winder set vertically through centre of wreath and set with four small dark blue enamel oval panels, with original black silk ribbon with scroll-chased gold buckle and mounts, seal 4.5 cm. high.Seal works but there is a buzzing sound in the background when the music plays. There are a couple of pins missing from side of oval base, one of the blue enamel ovals has been chipped and restored but otherwise in good condition. The monogram is circa 1880/1900

A rare South Staffordshire enamel 'Nelson' patch box c.1805, the oval form painted with a panel of ships depicting the battle formation at the Battle of Trafalgar, with a white border edged in gilt and raised white enamel dots, inscribed in black 'England Expects every man to Do his Duty. Nelson Oct. 21 1805', reserved on a dark blue ground, some good restoration, 4.8cm. Cf. Bonhams, 19th October 2011, lot 186 for an example from the Mort and Moira Lesser Collection.
A South Staffordshire enamel 'Treaty of Amiens' patch box c.1802, decorated with the figures of Fame and Plenty standing back to back beside ships at sail, Plenty holding a victory wreath above her cornucopia, Fame with a banner suspended from her trumpet, inscribed 'Duncan, Jervis, Abercrombie, Nelson, Howe', above them inscribed 'Fame Proclaiming her Heroes, Peace with Plenty', the base coloured a pale pink, the interior cover fitted with a mirror, a little cracking, 5.5cm. The short-lived Treaty of Amiens lasted only one year but engendered the only period of true peace between 1793 and 1814. The uneasy truce was ended by Britain declaring war on France in May 1803, following Napoleon's increased attempts to control Western Europe.
A rare English enamel patch box of naval interest late 18th century, painted in black with a dove of peace above two clasped hands, inscribed 'Valour United' above and 'Nelson & Warren Triumphant' below, the base enamelled a pale pink, fitted with a mirror to the interior cover, some good restoration, 4.3cm. Commodore John Borlase Warren combined a naval career with a career as MP for Great Marlow. He played a key part in the French Revolutionary Wars in 1795 and in the Irish Rebellion in October 1798.
An English enamel patch box of naval interest c.1798, printed and hand-coloured with Britannia seated on the shore before a tall masted ship, a pyramid obelisk to her right, the sides and base enamelled in a pale peach, the interior cover fitted with a mirror, a little cracking, 4.4cm. This print may well relate to Nelson's victory at the Battle of the Nile in 1798, which saw the captain promoted to Baron Nelson.
A Birmingham or South Staffordshire enamel 'Nelson' patch box early 19th century, printed and delicately coloured with a ship behind flags, cannons, a drum and other military motifs, around the edge inscribed 'Like Nelson may each Briton be A Friend to King and Country', the base enamelled a rich green, the interior cover fitted with a mirror, some good restoration, 4.6cm.
