London bus driver's ENAMEL LICENCE BADGE 'MECHANICAL POWER' issued in the first years of the 20th century when distinction needed to be made between horse and motor-bus drivers. A double-sided badge which would have been worn on the lapel with a leather strap and bearing serial number 10,445. In well-used condition with edge corrosion and considerable enamel loss on one side. [1]

London Underground ENAMEL SIGN 'Footbridge to Eastbound (Central London) Trains', flanged, double-sided (reverse blank), measures 25" x 4.5" (64cm x 11cm), in well-used condition and complete with suspension hooks, together with a further ENAMEL SIGN 'Caution, Risk of Electric Shock etc...', also believed to be Underground although lettering is not Johnston, measures 19" x 9.5" (48cm x 24cm) and in excellent condition. [2]

Two pairs of London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN INFILLS (each is two semi-circles), one dating from the 1930s (black lining out) and the other from the 1950s/60s. Each measures 38" x 14.5 " (97cm x 37cm) at maximum dimensions and each pair, when coupled with a standard c48" (121cm) bar, would make a complete bullseye sign. A few small chips but all four pieces are generally in very good condition. [4 pieces]

London Transport bus stop enamel E-PLATE for route 805 destinated Pinnacles, Special Journeys. Likely to have been situated at Harlow bus station to indicate the workings to this industrial estate. In good, ex-stop condition, a little weathered from a long period in situ. [1]

1933/34 London Transport enamel bus stop panel timetable HEADER PLATE 'General - London Transport' from the first days of the LPTB when the 'General' fleetname continued to be used for a short period. This is the Country Area version with a green background. Measures 8.75" x 2.25" (22cm x 6cm) and is in ex-use condition with some chips/corrosion at the edges & one corner. A very scarce survivor. [1]

London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line route 705 destinated Heathrow Airport, Slough, Windsor. Our best guess is that this was located at Hammersmith Butterwick but it may also have been further back at Victoria or Kensington. In very good, ex-stop condition. [1]

London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN (track-side) from Paddington station. A 'bullseye' sign, c1950s/60s, measuring 28" x 22" (71cm x 56cm). Apart from a few small chips, mainly near the screw-holes, it is in excellent conditon. [1]

London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line route 709 destinated Croydon, Coulsdon, Godstone. This would have been located on a southbound stop, probably in the Brixton or Streatham area. In very good, ex-stop condition. [1]

A pair of London Transport enamel BUS STOP FLAGS, both E3-size, boat-style (hollow, double-sided), compulsory versions. The first is a traditional 1950s/60s type (the e-plate runners are absent) and the other is the early-1990s type (lettering below the roundel) and carries a sticker 'Alighting Point Only'. Both measure 18" x 20.5" (46cm x 52cm) and are in ex-use condition, generally good. [2]

London Transport bus stop enamel E-PLATE for route 441 High Wycombe. The probable location of this plate was Staines Central station and it may well have been one of just a pair. In good, ex-stop condition with just a little weathering from a long period in situ. [1]

1940s/50s London Transport BUS STOP FLAG ('compulsory' version) of the flat, framed style (2 enamel plates in a bronze frame). This is a very good example with no more than a couple of small blemishes. Location no 4444 on small plate under lower edge. Measures 18" x 16" (46cm x 39cm). [1]

London Transport bus stop enamel G-PLATE 'Alighting Point only for Buses to Holloway Garage'. A G6-size plate (equivalent to 6 e-plates), original location unknown but probably outside the bus garage in respect of buses finishing duty there. Was damaged in use and has some restoration in places, mainly around 'To'. [1]

London Transport ENAMEL SIGNS comprising 'London Transport' (7.5" x 4.5"/19cm x 11cm) from a 1950s/60s time-recording clock used by bus conductors to stamp their time-cards plus a c1950s 'Building Dept' plate (4" x 3"/10cm x 8cm) probably from a cupboard door in a bus garage or Underground station. Both in used condition with some corner-chips. [2]

Paris Métro flanged ENAMEL PLATFORM SIGN from Avron Station which is situated near the eastern end of Line 2 and was opened in 1903. The sign uses 'Métro Alphabet' lettering which was the standard font in the 1970s-90s and is in upper-case which has now been largely superceded by lower case as stations are renovated. Measures 41" x 16" (105cm x 40cm) and is in very good condition. [1]

We haven't been able to establish the likely location of these plates but think it might have been Tonbridge. In good, ex-stop condition. [2]

Double-sided enamel BUS STOP FLAG for Hants & Sussex 'by request'. Style suggests 1950s/60s vintage. The operator name on one side has been overpainted 'Liss & District, another of the Basil Williams bus companies. Some small blemishes but generally in good, ex-use condition. A scarce piece. [1]

A pair of London Transport enamel BUS STOP FLAGS, both boat-style (hollow, double-sided), 'request' versions. One is the 1980s type and the other is the early-1990s type with all lettering below the roundel. Both measure 18" x 15" (46cm x 38cm) and are in fairly good, ex-use condition, the first has some corner damage, the second some small chips touched in. [2]

A pair of London Transport bus stop enamel E-PLATES for routes 805 and 806, both destinated Little Parndon. These were almost certainly located at Harlow Bus Station and each is probably one of just a pair. In good, ex-stop condition, slightly weathered from a long period in situ. [2]

1940s/50s London Transport BUS STOP FLAG (compulsory version) of the flat, framed style (2 enamel plates in a bronze frame). This is a rarely seen E3 version with runners for 3 e-plates on each side. Numbered 7310 underneath (a low number) and with a well-polished bronze frame, this is a superb example with no more than very minor blemishes and a faint trace on both sides of the 'fare stage' stickers once affixed. [1]

London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line Express route 727 destinated Luton Airport and with the blue background used for express services. This plate could have been located at a number of locations - Heathrow Airport and Watford Junction spring to mind. In very good, ex-stop condition. [1]

London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line route 715 destinated Oxford Circus, Wood Green, Hertford. A most unusual combination of via-points, the plate would have been on a northbound stop, perhaps in Hammersmith or Notting Hill Gate. In very good, ex-stop condition. [1]

London Transport RT-type bus BRASS CHASSIS TAG (dumb-iron plate) from 'roofbox' RT 231 plus an enamel RT-type RADIATOR BADGE and a Park Royal Vehicles BODYBUILDER'S PLATE. The original RT 231 entered service at South Croydon garage in November 1947 and the final bus with this identity was withdrawn at Elmers End in April 1958. After further service with Red Rover of Aylesbury, the bus was scrapped in 1961. All in ex-use condition. [3]
