Johann Victor Aarne was born in 1863 in Viipuri. He served his apprenticeship in St. Petersburg but became workmaster in Tempere, Finland in 1891. He later returned to St. Petersburg to join Fabergé. His speciality was gold and enamel of the highest quality.
