Pair of pottery plaques signed J. Rouse painted with lovers within garden scenes, no marks to reverse, with gilt frames, 31.5cm x 24cm Condition report: Both plaques have overall crazing. The enamel shows signs of oxidization which is very heavy in places on one plaque and minor on the other plaque. There are no serious damages or restorations to the plaques however the frames may require a professional framer to refit the plaques safely back within the mounts.

Vienna type dessert service Each piece hand painted with titled classical subjects and signed by the artist, with raised paste gilt and navy blue borders, underglaze bee hive marks and titles to bases, consisting of two high comports, four low comports, and twelve plates, mid 19th century, (18) diameter of plates 23cm high Condition report: One tall comport has a chip to the underside rim, the other has a chip to the foot and the footrim. Three low comports have large rim chips, the forth has the footrim restuck. Two plates have small foot chips. Every piece has minor losses to the thick white enamel dots in the border, five plates and one comport have wear to the raised gilt dots. There is minor gilt and surface scratches to most pieces.
