A Victorian Gold and Enamel Medal, by Vaughton and Sons, Birmingham, 1893, 9ct, shield shaped, the outer edge enamelled in blue and labelled as 'The Raleigh Medal 1893', the centre further enamelled 'J. A. Metcalf' and 'Cardiff Harlequins Club', all within vari-colour gold foliage and below wings and a bicycle wheel, the reverse engraved 'Souvenir', with suspension chain, 5cm high, gross weight 13dwt (20.4gr). Fully marked on the back, the back further stamped 'Vaughton Birm'm. Further part marked on suspension ring. The marks are generally clear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor chips and scratches to the enamel.

A Victorian Gold and Enamel Medal, by Daniel George Collins, Birmingham, 1897, 15ct, shaped as a bicycle wheel, applied with a ribbon, enamelled 'Dunlop 1898', the suspension loop with coronet terminal, the back engraved with an inscription, 4cm high, gross weight 14dwt (12.4gr.) The inscription reads 'To J. A. Metcalf for Successes Accomplished during 1898 on Dunlop Tyres.'. Fully marked on back and stamped 'Collins'. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some very minor chips and scratches to the enamel. The suspension loop is unmarked and a slightly differing colour so may not be gold.

Five Various Victorian and Edward VII Silver Medals and a Victorian Silver and Enamel Button, the medals each of various form, four engraved with inscriptions for cycling presented to J. A. Metcalf, the obverse of the fifth stamped with depiction of S. F. Cody, the reverse stamped with Victory holding a bicycle wheel and with a cycle race in the background, the button enamelled with the English coat-of-arms within the legend 'National Cyclists Union', 6cm high and smaller, 3oz 3dwt (97.8gr) (6) . There are surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor chips and scratches to the enamel on the button.

A. Metcalf Hon. Sec. Championships Newport August 1905'. Fully marked on the back. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor chips and scratching to the enamel.

A Victorian Silver Novelty Timepiece, by Douglas Clock Co., Birmingham, 1898, modelled as an anvil resting on a tree-stump, 9cm high, gross weight 2oz 14dwt. Fully marked on front base. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises to the base, particularly at the back where there is a small crease and to one side where there is a small split. There is also a bruise to the anvil. The enamel dial is damaged and one hand is lacking. The mechanism does not currently function.

Each marked on side or under wings. The marks are generally clear. In generally good condition with only some minor scratching. There is some discolouration to the lacquer. The legs on the larger bee are perhaps slightly bend and this bee leans slightly, though this may be how it was intended.

A Pair of Norwegian Silver-Gilt and Enamel Pepperettes, by David Andersen, 20th Century, each realistically modelled as an owl, one with purple enamel, the other with green enamel, 5.5cm high, gross weight 1oz 13dwt (2) . Each marked under base with maker's mark and stamped 'Norway Sterling 925S'. There is some obvious damage to the enamel on each. There is some salt-corrosion around the top. Each with nylon stopper which has not been removed.

An Early 19th Century Diamond, Baroque Pearl and Enamel Pendant on Chain, the circular band of closed-set cushion shaped table cut diamonds with black and white enamel detail, with a swing drop pearl with a rose cut diamond centrally, reverse with blue and white enamel, on a later yellow chain interspaced with seed pearls, pendant length 2.9cm, chain length 18cm see illustration NB: the pearl has not been lab tested. . The pendant is in poor condition with damage to the enamel both to the front and reverse. The baroque pearl is of a floral design. The chain fastens with a tongue and box catch. The chain has an applied plaque but it is partially missing. Gross weight 8.1 grams. CR made 29.07.20.

A Pair of 9 Carat Gold Cultured Pearl, Diamond and Enamel Drop Earrings, a split pearl suspends an old cut diamond to a baroque pearl with a rose cut diamond and red and white enamel set cap, drop length 3.7cm, with post fittings see illustration. The earrings are in fair condition with slight enamel loss. One post is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'RRS', Birmingham and in our opinion would be a replacement. The other the marks are rubbed. Gross weight 6.4 grams. CR made 21.07.20.

A Victorian Brooch/Pendant on Chain, two yellow tassel drops chain linked from a circular loop with a textured and beaded border with black enamel detail throughout, surmounted by an oval plaque designed similarly, on a fancy trace link chain, drop length 9.4cm, chain length 38cm see illustration . The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with two tongue and box catches allowing the chain to be removed and worn as a brooch with a pin and hook catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 23.8 grams. CR made 10.08.20.

An Art Nouveau Silver and Enamel Pendant Necklace, by Charles Horner, a winged scarab motif enamelled in blue and green, hung by two chains from an enamelled triangular panel, on a trace link chain, pendant length 6.7cm, chain length 40cm see illustration . The necklace is in fair condition with enamel loss throughout. It fastens with a bolt ring catch. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'C.H.', Chester, 1909. Gross weight 8.6 grams. CR made 10.08.20.

An 18 Carat Gold Blue Enamel and Turquoise Brooch, of yellow circular openwork filigree design, turquoise cabochons claw set throughout with blue enamel ribbon motif detail, measures 3.1cm diameter; and A Victorian Banded Agate and Enamel Brooch, the circular banded agate within a yellow rope frame decorated with white enamel and a locket compartment to the reverse, measures 4.9cm diameter see illustration . Turquoise brooch - In good condition, fastens with a pin and revolver catch, hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'FLd', London (import), 1983?, 8..7 grams. Agate brooch - In fair condition, fastens with a pin and hook catch, bears no hallmark nor stamp, 21.3 grams.

A 19th Century Garnet Bangle, closed set with oval shaped foiled garnets, graduated from the centre in two rows interspaced with smaller garnets, measures 5.5cm by 5.6cm (a.f.); and A Late 19th Century Silver Enamel, Garnet and Paste Brooch/Pendant, of Gothic Revival style, a figure centrally within an openwork frame set throughout with fancy cut garnets and suspending a pear cut garnet, measures 6.8cm by 3.1cm see illustration NB: two garnets deficient from the bangle. The items are in fair condition. The bangle has a later hinged back and two garnets missing. The bangle fastens with a tongue and box catch. The bangle bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The brooch/pendant is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'M&S', the remainder of the mark is rubbed. Gross weight 43.2 grams. CR made 24.07.20.
