A BRITISH RAILWAYS (MIDLAND REGION) ENAMEL TOTEM SIGN 'ROYTON' fully-flanged, in good original condition, 92.5cm long. Note: Royton Station was opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway on 21st March 1864, and was situated at the end of a short branch line from Royton Junction, on the Oldham Loop Line. It was closed to goods traffic on 2nd November 1964, and closed to passengers on 16th April 1966.
A Victorian 18 carat gold diamond and enamel mourning ring, an old cut diamond in a yellow star setting to a black enamel oval surround, to black enamel and scroll work shoulders, to a shank picked out to read 'In Memory Of', estimated diamond weight 0.25 carat approximately, finger size NThe ring is in good to fair condition. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'A&S', Birmingham, 1879. There is minor wear to the edge of the enamel on the oval plaque and shoulders and to the enamel to the shank is heavily worn with use and age. The diamond measures 4.00mm x 4.00mm x 2.60mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I, clarity SI2/I1. There is an indented natural /surface fracture to the crown. An onyx, seed pearl and enamel mourning cross pendant, the onyx cross inset with seed pearls to a black enamel bail, measures 8.5cm by 4.5cm There are two chips to the onyx along the long and short edges and a section to the short edge which appears smoothed off. A 22 carat gold George III mourning ring, a black enamel band picked out to read 'MARY.SCOTT.OB:6 MAR:1796.AE:81', between white enamel bands, finger size Q1/2The ring is in good condition. There is light wear to the enamel but no significant damage or losses. It is stamped with maker's mark 'T.P' (?), the lion passant for 22 carat gold, 1796, there is a misstruck mark which may be a duty mark or leopard's head crowned. Gross weight 4.8 grams. A Victorian mourning ring, a reversilbe oblong plaque in black enamel picked out to read 'ROBERT SWAINE OB: 23 DEC: 1812 AET:67, the reverse with a glazed locket containing hair work within a border of black paste, hinged to a forked shoulder shank, finger size NThe pin to one side connecting the head to the shoulders is loose causing the head to be detached at one side. There is some wear and minor loss to the enamel. The shank has been resized. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 4.2 grams. A 9ct gold open faced pocket watch, signed Octava Watch Co, Switzerland, 1918, lever movement signed, enamel dial with Roman numerals, seconds dial, case maker's mark FT, London hallmark, 49mm wide, with a curb link watch chain, each link stamped 9c 27.07.17, Case with surface scratches, case with small dents, glass sides with minor chips and small scuff marks, hand setting correctly, winding smoothly, movement in going order, total watch weight 93g, watch chain weight 32.7g.

A George IV 18 carat gold enamel and seed pearl mourning ring, a central glazed plaque within a border of seed pearls and a black enamel rectangular frame, to foliate carved shoulders on a reeded shank, finger size NThe ring is in good condition. The glazed plaque is abraided and contains traces of hairwork. There is light wear and discolouration to the seed pearls. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'WE', London, 1827. A diamond band ring, five graduated old cut diamonds in kite settings, to a tapering shank with scroll detail, total estimated diamond weight 0.35 carat approximately, finger size R The ring would have originally been enamelled, there are very few traces of black enamel remaining having been worn away or intentionally removed. The inner shank with inscription. It is stamped with maker's mark 'A&T', it appears to be faintly marked '18', in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 4.4 grams. Condition Report made 9th August 2017.

A carved conch shell cameo brooch/pendant, depicting the bust of a Bacchante, within a black enamel frame set with seed pearls, measures 4.5cm by 3.8cm The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and c-hook and has a hinged loop for attaching a bail (bail not present). There is light wear to the seed pearls and enamel. Gross weight 16.2 grams. An enamel and pearl partridge brooch, realistically modelled with a blister pearl body to a rectangular frame, measures 2cm by 3.2cm, an enamel and pearl duck bar brooch, measures 5cm long and an enamel and seed pearl clover brooch, measures 1.1cm by 2cm (3)The brooches are in good to fair condition. There are minor losses/wear to the enamel noted to the partridge and duck brooches and fair to heavy losses to the clover brooch. The partridge and duck brooches are stamped '9CT' and the clover brooch is stamped '14K' and in our opinion would test as gold. They fasten with pin and c-hooks/safety catches. The partridge brooch weighs 4.2g, the duck brooch weighs 3.2g and the clover brooch weighs 1.4g. Condition Report made 21st June 2017.

There is some light wear to the enamel and a fault to the enamel on the 'O' flag. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'BBS' for Benzie and Cowes, London, 1978.
