A collection of ten scent bottles including a London 1903 maker obscured, with prismatic cut stopper above a silver collar and square section baluster body on integral bracket feet, together with seven other eight silver mounted perfume bottles and one gilt base metal mounted example.Qty: 10Private estateThe double ended scent bottle has numerous chips and nibbles to the glass body, one end is spring loaded, but has damage around the rim. The base metal enamelled scent bottle has several small chips and nibbles to the glass and the stopper is chipped at the base. The enamel is in good order with no damage , although there are superficial surface scratches. The silver and enamel scent bottle is in good order and the enamel is undamaged, however the bottle is lacking a stopper. The glass is in good condition, but there is a small dent to the silver collar. The squat cut glass bottle with the engine-turned cover has a large double crease to the cover and a large chip to the main part of the bottle. The remaining four bottles all have dings and dents to the covers and collars, the glass is the bottles is OK but both stoppers have nibbles.
John Ferguson Gow: An Arts and Crafts two handled bowl, Tapering cylindrical with enamelled flowerheads to each side in tan enamel; stylised beaded border, London 1954, with a letter from Mr Gow's daughter to the owner's father, a doctor, who had helped the family with an elderly relative. Together with a cased set of Victorian teaspoons, cast foliate terminals and bowls, English import marks for London 1876; a cased pair of preserve spoons and two further spoons. 5.83ozt.
A Chinese Canton enamel Gu form porcelain vase, Qing, 19th century, the interior with a border of foliage, the exterior painted throughout with butterflies and birds amongst auspicious flowers and fruits to include peony, gourds, pomegranates, and lotus leaves and pods, between floral bands, 39.5cm high, on later wood standGenerally in good condition, although the underside has been pierced to accommodate an electric cable. The wood stand has previously been split in two through the centre.
