Martie & Cie, numbered 44784 6, striking on a gong, double mercury pendulum, key, 24cm.Fritz Marti is recorded as working from 1876, and was originally at Vieux-Charmont. He won the gold medal after showing 'roulant blancs' (rough clock movements that were supplied to and finished off by other clockmakers to fit into their cases) at the Paris Exhibition of 1900.

In 1881 Kintar? Hattori open a watch and jewellery shop "K. Hattori" in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan and in 1892 Seikosha is established in Tokyo as the clock manufacturing arm of K. Hattori.
