A pair of Royal Crown Derby dishes decorated by George Darlington, late 19th century, each of quatrefoil form on raised pierced base, cobalt blue borders with gilt highlights throughout, the centres decorated with polychrome enamel birds in a natural landscape, 27.5cm x 20.7cm (2) (one at fault) CONDITION REPORT:Both dishes show very minor rubbing to the gilt highlights and the odd fine surface scratch. One dish shows a repaired break to the pierced handle.
