A LIVERPOOL COMMEMORATIVE ENAMEL PLAQUE of William Pitt, by Sadler, circa 1758, oval, the white ground printed in grey/black, with a half length portrait of William Pitt, after William Hoare (with faults) The print was engraved by Richard Houston. The inscription corresponds to the engraving and indicates a date between 1756, when Pitt became Secretary of State and his resignation from that office in 1761.
