London Underground enamel PLATFORM ROUNDEL SIGN from Oxford Circus Station on the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria Lines. This is a medium-size sign measuring 44" (112cm) across by 36" (92cm) high and comes in three parts plus brass frame. In very good, ex-use condition, just a few light scratches. [3 parts + frame]
1950s/60s London Transport enamel BUS & COACH STOP FLAG (Bus Compulsory, Coach Request), an E3 version with space for 3 e-plates on both sides. A traditional bullseye 'boat' flag, (two-sided, hollow) measuring 18" x 20.5" (46cm x 52cm). An superb example with barely a blemish, which appears to be unused and is probably ex-LT stores before disposal. It may never have been fitted with runners. [1]
3 London Transport bus items comprising a pair of RADIATOR TRIANGLE BADGES, one is enamel for an RT (a few chips from use), the other is the plastic Routemaster type (excellent condition) plus a London Transport driver's/conductor's HAT with BADGE, the hat is size 6 7/8 and in good, ex-use condition, the badge has a little enamel loss at one edge. 1950s/60s London Transport enamel BUS STAND FLAG, the much less common version located at bus stands where passengers could not board. A double-sided, hollow 'boat'-style flag measuring 18" x 16" (46cm x 41cm). Generally in good, ex-use condition with a few small blemishes, would benefit from a good clean. [1]
Pair of British Railways enamel SIGNAL ARMS, the first is a home signal complete with spectacle and labelled 'Addiscombe', suggesting it was situated on the former SER branch from Elmers End, closed in 1997 for Tramlink construction, and the second is a distant arm, blade only, likely also from Southern Region. The former measures 63" x 20" (160cm x 51cm) at maximum and the latter is 42" x 10" (107cm x 25cm). Both are in good, ex-use condition. [2]
British Railways (Southern Region) enamel SIGN 'GENTLEMEN / MESSIEURS' from the harbour arm platform at Folkestone Harbour station. Comes with an email from the station's former Station Manager confirming its provenance. A flanged sign measuring 36" x 18" (92cm x 46cm), it has suffered from decades of exposure to saltwater and has corrosion and losses at the edges and on the flanges as well as tiny pitting marks. [1]
London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN from Bayswater Station on the Circle and District Lines and aimed at passengers intending to alight from the train where the platform is too short - "Move along train to exit". Required after the introduction of the new, longer S-Stock trains. The lettered parts of the sign have been applied in a reflective plastic material similar that used on highway signs. Measures 120cm x 35cm (47.25" x 13.75") and is in excellent, ex-use condition. [1]
London Transport coach stop enamel E-PLATE for Green Line route 712A lettered Sat & Sun and destinated Dorking. This amazing survivor dates from the May 1963 to April 1965 period when some 1963/64 Summer Season journeys on the 712 were diverted at St Albans to serve Whipsnade Zoo and numbered 712A. The plates were taken down for the winter seasons. After April 1965, these journeys reverted to the plain 712 number. In excellent, ex-use condition. [1]
London Underground enamel PLATFORM SIGN from Roding Valley station on the Hainault loop of the Central Line. The centre bar from a bullseye, it measures 58" x 10.5" (148cm x 27cm) and is in ex-use condition after a long period exposed to the elements with weathering and enamel losses at the edges. [1]
London Transport enamel COACH STOP FLAG (Request). A 1950s/60s 'bullseye'-style, E6-size, double-sided 'boat'-type flag complete with runners for 6 e-plates on each side. Measures 18" x 26" (46cm x 66cm). An excellent example in very good condition with only minor blemishes. An uncommon variant. [1]

London Underground Q/CO/CP-Stock DESTINATION PLATE Inner Circle/Sth Kensington on the District/Circle Lines. Double-sided, reversable, with brass ends. The plate was re-lettered by London Transport and the original, enamel Metropolitan Line destinations of Amersham/Rickmansworth can be discerned underneath. In well-used but very reasonable condition. [1]
British Railways (Scottish Region) enamel TOTEM SIGN from High Street, an ex-NBR station on the North Clyde suburban lines in Glasgow. A fully-flanged example, standard size (36" or 92cm), in excellent condition with very good colour and shine, two very small blemishes at the top edge have been touched in. [1]
London Underground enamel PLATFORM ROUNDEL SIGN from Knightsbridge Station on the Piccadilly Line. This is the smaller-size sign, from the track-side, measuring 24" x 19.5" (61cm x 50cm) high. A complete sign in 4 parts comprising bar, half-circles and alloy frame. In very good, ex-use condition with only the smallest of blemishes. [1 sign in 4 parts]
Selection (7) of VEHICLE PLATES comprising Dennis Dorchester (interior sign, plastic), Leyland metal-framed body (brass, reg no CS 8057 on reverse), BUT (alloy, trolleybus wheel trim), '102' (enamel, thought to be ex-Glasgow), Aberdeen County Council 1697 (brass, curved), Low Bridge Car, Selly Oak, Aston, Dudley Port (brass, label says ex-Birmingham 1911 trams 361-400), '20' (cast alloy, probably lorry speed plate). All in good to very good, ex-use condition. [7]

Records show these noted at Childs Hill, The Castle, Marlborough Place, Royal Albert Hall and Barnes, Red Lion. Generally in very good, ex-use condition, small chips on the r/h side from the runner. 1970s London Transport enamel COACH STOP FLAG for National Express. A double-sided, hollow, 'boat'-style flag measuring 18" x 16" (46cm x 40cm). There were just a very small number of these flags which were put up at the few stops in the LT area which were served exclusively by National Express. Generally in good, ex-use condition, just a little weathered and would benefit from a clean. [1]

A double-sided, hollow 'boat'-style flag measuring 18" x 16" (46cm x 41cm). A very good example with a small repair at one corner and other small blemishes. [1]
1950s/60s London Transport enamel BUS STOP SIGN 'South Park' from a 'Keston' wooden bus shelter in Reigate. The 'Bus Stop' wording was used when a separate bus stop sign on a pole was not present. This point was served by Country Area RT and RF-type buses on route 430, long before the US animated sitcom of the same name! A flanged, single-sided sign measuring 18" (46cm) square and generally in excellent, ex-use condition, some very small blemishes have been touched in. [1]
c1870s London Taxi ENAMEL SIGN 'Hackney Carriage Distances'. This was located at the Broad Street, St Giles's Bloomsbury Taxi Standing and shows the distances in miles and yards. Bears the name of Edmund Henderson who was Metropolitan Police Commissioner from 1869-1886 and the sign probably reflects the regulations introduced in the 1869 Metropolitan Public Carriage Act. An amazing survivor, not seen by us before. Measures 25" x 39" (64cm x 99cm) and shows its age with some enamel losses and edge corrosion/losses. [1]

1950s/60s London Transport ENAMEL SIGN from a bus station "Buses Only, No Entry for other vehicles" with the LT bullseye under the lettering. These signs were once ubiquitous at LT's bus stations in both the Central (red buses ) and Country (green buses) Areas. Measures 17.5" x 31" (44cm x 70cm) and is generally an excellent example with just some grime at the top and bottom edges. [1]

Just two pairs were recorded: at Surbiton Road, Surbiton Crescent and Surbiton, Hollyfield Road and this is just the second example that we have seen at auction. In very good, ex-use condition. [1]
