A group of three circular snuff boxes inset with portrait miniatures, late 18th century and later comprising; a pique inlaid blonde tortoiseshell example, finely painted with a miniature of King John VI of Portugal as Prince Regent, a tortoise shell circular 19th century inset with a miniature inscribed 'Duchess of Portsmouth 1740' and an ivory example with a painted pastoral scene on ivory within a blue and white painted enamel border, largest 7.5cm diameter.
A Continental gilt bronze mounted brown agate banded snuff box, late 18th century of cartouche outline, the mounts with floral and shell scrolled decoration, 7.5cm wide together with an enamel plaque painted with an amorous scene signed to the reverse 'Les Freres Huaut' in an ebonised frame, early 19th century, 7cm wide . Unusual mid-19th century Continental clock picture in gilt painted frame with painted oil on canvas landscape with figures, bridge and clock tower with black enamel dial and movement inside framework with pull cord and switches below, 68cm x 78cm CONDITION REPORT Painting in good condition. General cracking to paint and canvas is a little loose. Some old repairs to frame and minor cracking. Some moulding missing. Canvas has been strengthened in places. Clock movement is reasonably clean but we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order. Dial has minor damage. Musical movement appears to work. All reeds are present but controls are distorted and don't operate correctly. There are signs of restoration, new screws, etc. Link to clock movement is dismantled
19th century mantel clock with French timepiece movement signed - Chappement Brevete, front to rear swinging pendulum in the form of a cherub on a swing, visible movement, white enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals in an alabaster case with gilt metal mounted scroll supports on a platform base with four turned feet (pendulum present, winding key lacking), 23cm overall height CONDITION REPORT General overall condition reasonably good. Movement is dirty and does tick but we are unable to say if it is in full working order. Enamelling on chapter ring is cracked in several places. Hands have been repainted black. Case is dirty and dial surround cracked. Two gilt metal mounts at top of scrolls missing. No rear door
18th century Lowestoft porcelain trio comprising coffee cup, tea bowl and saucer, with Curtis-style painted polychrome enamel decoration with floral reserves on a purple lattice ground and cellular border and gilded decoration, circa 1780 CONDITION REPORT All three pieces are perfect and in excellent condition. Gilding to the rim of the saucer is partially missing / worn / misfired. No damage or restoration. Decoration and enamels in excellent condition
Fine 18th century Chinese export porcelain armorial charger circa 1738, with painted central Ross Family Coat of Arms, with motto - 'Nobilis Est Ira Leonis' within fine diaper and ribbon band and finely enamelled floral borders, 35.5cm diameter. Reference - Howard E5. page 243. This service believed to have been made for Captain Charles Ross M.P. (1721 - 1745), who inherited Balnagown Castle from his uncle, became a Captain in 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards and elected M.P. for Ross-shire in 1741. He was killed in action at the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745 CONDITION REPORT Good original condition. Chips to front rim at around 6 o'clock and another on back rim. Some stacking wear to glaze and minor enamel wear - enamels bright overall

In very good original condition, very minor chips to white enamel on letter P. Original box has a bit of wear to corner, slight stain to gold where it may have been tested but hopefully will polish out

One small area of loss to the enamel at XI. Quartz movement which is not currently running. From a deceased estate and probable that the watch battery has just run flat. The hands set and adjust correctly and the clasp closes tightly. One small dent to the strap
