A steel Longines open faced military pocket watch, the enamel dial with Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, sweep centre seconds, dial no. 2991, round polished case with screw back, 16 jewel movement, signed, no. 5902977, together with a steel Hamilton open faced military pocket watch, movement no. 570922. A Russian silver gilt and plique-à-jour enamel cigarette case, each hinged side decorated with a parrot perched on a branch amongst flowering shrubs within a cloisonné enamelled border of white, blue and red dot design, marked 84 inside and faintly to each panel surface, 11 x 8.5cm. A similar box sold at Christies, 20th May 2010.
A 19th century French patinated and gilt bronze mantel clock Surmounted with two young children, the scrolling swag mounted white enamel dial inscribed Daubre A Nancy. 59 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Some patination and gilt wear, some scratching/cracking to dial, pendulum lacking, general wear.
A rose diamond set silver mounted enamel desk clock The white enamelled dial bordered by a row of small diamonds over a blue guilloche border with four diamond set numerals, standing on a spreading domed foot with a silver gilt mounted spinach green jade plinth base, the underside marked for 88 Zolotniks, housed in a plush lined wooden travelling case. 13 cm high. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, some wear and veneer losses to case.
A pair of Victorian silver and enamel decorated porcelain set menu stands, hallmarked London 1897, maker's mark of Sampson Morden & Co., and retailed by J. Blount Thomas, Southampton Each enamelled Giralda above four signal flags and inscribed To Capt. Harry McCalmont from the Crew, July 1897. Note: Steam Yacht Giralda was built in 1894 by Fairfield Ship Building & Engineering Co Ltd, Govan and owned by Colonel Harry L.B. McCalmont and later the Spanish Government before being scrapped in 1921. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, expected wear, some slight dints, backs a little tired, two securing pins lacking.
A pair of late 19th/early 20th century Chinese Export silver and enamel twin handled vases Of baluster form, decorated with floral vignettes and calligraphic text, double seal mark signature and stamped mark to base. 25.5 cm high. (2) CONDITION REPORTS: Both generally in good condition, expected wear, some slight dints, both with possible repairs/re-enamelling, approximately 882 grammes all in.
An 18th century Continental enamel and gilt metal mounted table snuff box Of rectangular section, the hinged cover puce decorated with a battle scene, the body decorated with figural vignettes, the interior further decorated. 8.5 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, expected wear, some crazing, some surface wear.
A good and large assortment of nice quality decorative ceramics, to include approx twenty cups and saucers, a Victorian enamel and gilt decorated pedestal comport with pierced rim, a blue and white wash basin, a pair of Minton's 'Evans cider drink advertising ashtrays', a Minton's transfer printed tile, other Minton's, etc.
A Chinese famille rose baluster vase, Qianlong seal mark and of the period, enamelled with a scene of two ladies surrounded by six playing boys and with two cranes flying overhead, 28cm high/Provenance: John Sparks Ltd/Note: A related lantern-shaped vase is illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum: Porcelains with Cloisonné Enamel Decoration and Famille Rose Decoration, Beijing, 1999, no.93. Condition Report: Condition appears generally good for age and usage. The only noticable damage is a shallow chip which has been filled just below and to the right of the cranes (see image). There is a score mark in the glaze to the inside of the neck (not visible from exterior).
