A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Sword, with 81cm single edge fullered broad curved steel blade, the steel stirrup hilt with shield shape langets, ribbed ivory grip, 94cm; a 1796 Pattern Infantry Sword, with 81cm single edge fullered steel blade, the brass hilt with boat shape guard, later wood grip and fluted ovoid pommel, 97cm (2 - lack scabbards). Black patching to blades. Infantry sword with damage to the hilt.
A Meiji Period Japanese Tanto Dagger, the 17cm single edge steel blade with straight narrow hamon, one piece burnished gilt metal habaki, the ivory hilt and scabbard well carved with figures standing, dancing with fans and kneeling beneath fir trees, 29.5cm. Black patching to blade. The ivory fuchi has three chips around the edge. Some wear to carved decoration and a small split at the mouth of the scabbard.
