Victorian maple ebonised and inlaid ivory loo table, oval top with a moulded edge, top with inlaid tracery and winged cherubs riding mythical beasts, the top 123cm x 88cm, the base with four turned and fluted columns, centred by an urn finial, four splayed legs on castors, height 73cm.CITES regulations apply to this lot.
A Japanese stained ivory vase together with carved lacquered wood stand, the vase carved in high relief with a scholar seated on the back of a buffalo pulled by a small boy standing on a rock and accompanied by a young peasant girl, further carved with pine and plum tree, Mount Fuji in the background, with gilt detail, the stand carved to simulate waves strewn with gilded bamboo leaves, gilt signature to base, 18th-19th century, 14cm high, a tiny chip to one of the tree branches, otherwise in good condition.
A very fine Edwardian mahogany veneered domed lid violin case with gilt brass mounts, lock and slide catches, ebony trim, the gold velvet interior with padded close fitting for the instrument, three accessories compartments, the lid for two bows, one bow securing turnbuckle missing, maker's ivory plate for" Hart & Son, Violin Makers, 28, Wardour Street, London W". In very good condition, the interior worn but undamaged, the case with very slight chips to one end, all as to be expected in a well but carefully used piece.
English School, circa 1790. A portrait miniature of a gentleman, his blue coat wth black collar, seascape behind with ship in distance, on ivory, 5.5 x 4.5 cm., in gold frame, glazed reverse of plaited hair centred with interlaced cut-out gold initials, later metal brooch fitting and suspension loop.
A George III ivory toothpick box, circa 1790, cover carved with a Classical woman playing a pipe to a dancing dog, an attendant putto to the left, all beneath a drapery swag and with inlaid border of silver-coloured beads, salmon pink velvet lining but lacking mirror in cover, 7.4 cm. long; also a carved and pierced bone cylindrical handle, probably from an Indian fly whisk, 11.1 cm. long.The toothpick box has lost the inlay from 13 of the beads around border and although it closes properly has lost an approx. 2.5 cm. long section of the inner rim. The handle has a crack in the rim.

A portrait miniature of a red-headed gentleman in dark blue coat and white waistcoat, on ivory, 6 x 5 cm., in ebonised frame with gilt-metal mounts, Union flowers below the suspension ring, in frame 13.3 x 11.9 cm., reverse with ink on paper label naming sitter as Robert Emett and fee of £4.Hairline crack which starts at bottom of coat and ends on his cheek at mid-ear level.
