A Chinese Canton export ivory folding fan, mid-19th Century, the guards carved in high relief with figures in village settings above dense flowers, the nineteen sticks with similarly pierced decoration, the white feather panel painted to each side with a flower and insect spray, length approx 28cm, within a Canton silk lined box (faults).
A Chinese Canton export carved ivory chess set, early/mid-19th Century, depicting the Chinese versus the Mongols, one side stained red, the other left natural, the kings and queens as emperor and empress, bishops as mandarins, knights as horsemen, rooks as elephants and pawns as foot soldiers, all raised on oval bases, height of king approx 13cm, together with a set of matching draughts with pierced decoration and a pair of matching dice shakers, within a lacquer folding games board (some faults).

An early George V mahogany dressing table with boxwood line inlaid decoration, the hinged top housing a folding triptych mirror above a pair of hinged compartments and glazed trays, fitted with an ivory mounted dressing table set, flanking a compartmentalized interior of cut glass and silver mounted jars, perfume bottles and pin trays, London 1913 by G B & Sons, and further fitted with manicure accoutrements, the front with a glazed hinge jewellery compartment enclosing a removable tray and secret drawer, the frieze with two drawers, raised on square tapering legs with spade feet and brass castors, bearing gilt metal label inscribed `H. Greaves Ltd, New St, Birmingham` and ivorine plaque inscribed `Rd. No. 541493`, width approx 89cm (one mirror panel cracked, two manicure accoutrements lacking and minor faults).
A 19th Century Florentine carved walnut and pietra dura canted rectangular casket by Angiolo Barbetti, the sides with carved signature and date cartouche `Barbetti Firenze` and dated `Anno 1865`, the hinged lid inset with a rectangular marble panel, inlaid with a floral spray, within a finely carved and moulded border, the front and back panels carved in relief with a central urn flanked by ram masks and foliate scrolls, the stepped base with carved continuous band, the interior lined in maple, height approx 15cm, width approx 28.5cm. Note: Angiolo Barbetti (1805-1873), a skilled carver, designer and decorator, produced a large range of carved ivory, ebony and walnut furniture, including frames, boxes, candelabra and much larger commissions, such as lavishly inlaid cabinets and tables. A regular award-winner at the international fairs and exhibitions, Barbetti was selected to represent Tuscany at the London International Exhibition of 1851.
