19th Century Indian miniature ivory bookcase, the upper section having a pierced pediment, two pierced doors opening to reveal three shelves of dummy books, the lower section fitted two conforming doors and standing on turned feet, 11.5cm high Condition: The doors are in working condition and shut flat against one another, there are signs that the carcass may have been re-glued in the past, but there are no splits or losses, one of the feet is possibly a replacement as it is different in colour to the other three but if so is a perfect match in terms of shape - **General condition consistent with age
A Norwegian silver mounted marine ivory handled skinning knife, the blade marked "Blikstad Trondheim", with leather scabbard with plated mounts. Overall length 9 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The scabbard is in extremely good condition. The leather is not scuffed or worn and of very good colour. The metal mounts are also in good condition. The blade of the knife is a little scratched in places but generally in good condition and it is solid in the shaft. The handle of the piece is in generally very good condition also as is the top mount.
