Buddhism.- A panel from a Sinicized Tibetan Buddhist ritual crown, embroidered in silk, gold and other metallic threads on an ivory silk ground, 12.5 x 8.5 cm (4 ½ x 3 ¼ in.), in very good condition with fresh colours, on a 19th century card backing, from an album compiled by Cyril Davenport (1848-1941), Superintendent of Bookbindings at the British Museum, [?18th century]⁂ From a five-paneled ritual crown, the leaves depicting the five meditation buddhas, as worn by a Tibetan lama or devotee during ceremonies to summon buddhas and other deities.
1800s George III era naval officer’s sword with ivory hilt. Features lions head pommel with maned backstrap, double chained guard with ribbed ivory hilt, with period wire stitch mend to grip . Cutdown 31cm sword blade is nicely curved and still carries a good cutting edge, with no noticeable stamping or etching to the surface. Very attractive 44cm long naval dirk, most likely later converted to be used as a late 19th century navy dirk.
WW1 1918 Australia Light horse ‘souvenir’ riding ivory & silver horse camel crop. Superb Great war officers riding crop in carved milky white ivory with 3 silver sleeves, carrying the initial H.L. and date 1918. Vendor received this item from an estate of Light horse memorabilia. Measures 44.2cm long.
1800s George III era Napoleonic War era British naval dirk in blue & gilt with an ivory hilt. Features a carved, nicely age yellowed, ivory handle with cast brass oakleaf & acorn guard. Curved 20.5cm blade, decorated with floral blueing with remnants of gilt work to the surface design, edge is dull. Solid brass scabbard carries simple etched design to its facing. 31cm long dress naval dirk, that displays well.
1820s George III era British navy dirk in blue & gilt with ivory hilt. Features gilt pommel with straight, 8-sided ivory grip, 5 balled guard of brass. 34.4 cm blade is single fullered and carries a good edge, surface nicely decorated in blue & gilt floral and martial designs. Very attractive 45cm long piece.
Pair of 16 bore percussion officers belt/dueling pistols by Hollis & Sheath of Birmingham (circa 1849-1850), each with 7.5 inch round twist steel barrels, bead fore sights to the top flats, double platinum lines and plug, signed and foliate engraved back action blued steel lock plates, walnut full stock with German silver forend tips and vacant silver escutcheons, with blue steel ramrod, pipes, foliate engraved trigger guard, pineapple finials and checkered grips, with blue steel belt clips and swivel ramrods, in fitted mahogany case (with hook/eyes and lock & Key), the crimson lined interior fitted with accessories including steel bullet mould, copper sight, pistol flask, turn screw, oil flask, rosewood cap box and ivory handled brush

VICKERY AN EDWARDIAN IVORY CASED DESK TIMEPIECE, with silver handle and hinge, dated London 1909, having swing handle and raised upon bun feet, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the dial inscribed "J.C. Vickery, to their Majesties", 17 9, 181, 183 "Regent Street, W", overall size of case 10.5cm high Condition report: cracks to ivory case on front panel extending on to the top, & on left side by hinge to back door. One on base also. Silver handled tarnished to black as is catch, movement seized, dial ok.
