An extensive collection of Foley China tea and dinnerwares with duck egg blue and gilt border decoration comprising twelve dinner plates, twelve dessert plates, twelve two handled soup bowls and twelve soup saucers, twelve small dessert dishes, twelve tea cups, twelve saucers and twelve tea/side plates together with a matched pair of good quality Royal Doulton plates with relief gilt scrolling and floral decoration on an ivory ground and green ground, one with impressed numbers to reverse 2529, the other with impressed numbers 3239
An Attractive George III Inlaid Oak Hanging Corner Cupboard of good colour and patination. The moulded cornice above a panel door inlaid with an ivory shield shaped escutcheon and a central rosette roundel. The interior fitted with serpentine fronted shelves, 35½ ins (90 cms) high, 27 ins (68 cms) wide.
A 19th Century South German/North Italian Ivory Inlaid & Fruitwood Marquetry Cassonne. The large sarcophagus-shaped chest with scotia moulded lid, inlaid with hunting scenes and having carved grotesques to the corners raised on bold lion paw feet, 38½ ins (98 cms) high, 70 ins (178 cms) wide, 30 ins (76 cms) deep.
A George III Oak Floor Standing Corner Cupboard. The dentil moulded cornice above an astrigal glazed upper cupboard displaying an painted interior with two shelves, and a lower cupboard with moulded panel doors inlaid with ivory shield shaped escutcheons, 79½ ins (202 cms) high, 40½ ins (103 cms) wide.
A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Austro-Hungarian Carving Knife along with a smaller knife & fork. All having ivory handles finely inlaid with gilt nail heads and small ornamental niello and gilt roundels, with wriggle work mounts and dimpled gilt ferrules. The larger knife 13 ins (33 cms) in length, the smaller knife and four pronged fork 7½ ins (19 cms) in length.
Silver child's rattle with ivory teether, Birmingham 1912, and another, globular, embossed with mistletoe, 1909. (2) Condition Report Circular rattle: teething ring is stained and the attachment loose. The ball is split and there is damage to the edges. Other rattle: teething ring is marked and has been glued. The bells are a bit dented and split. The bottom teether is missing.
A Cauldon china coffee service, comprising five coffee cans and saucers, coffee pot, open sugar bowl and milk jug, having pink and gilt decoration on an ivory ground, together with a set of six Continental cabinet cups & saucers. Condition Report: One cup missing from the cauldron set. No apparent damage or restoration.
Paul Philippe (1870-1930). An Art Deco gilt bronze and ivory figure of a dancer, her arms raised and outstretched, stamped with the 'Bronze A.G. Paris' mark, on a stepped onyx plinth bearing the signature of Philippe (38.5cm). Condition Report: Repair to right foot, later glued, fingers all intact, other general ware commensurate with age.
