A Japanese carved ivory netsuke as a tiger licking it's paw, 3.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Very fine crack running from top of head past shoulders, small chip to top of tail, small nick to one of the hind legs underneath, some light scratches throughout, general small signs of wear and tear.
A Japanese carved ivory netsuke as a hermit crab in a seashell, upon two further seashells, set with glass eyes, 3.9cm long CONDITION REPORTS Some small light scratches and small marks and deep scratch to the top from the head of the crab along its shell and some other darker scratches to the top - see images.
An 18th or early 19th Century Burmese Dha dagger, the silver sheathed scabbard enclosing a plain blade, the handle intricately carved in ivory, depicting Hanuman or Bilu, 28.8cm total length, handle 7.5cm long CONDITION REPORTS Handle has splits, knocks, etc, to the ivory conducive with age and use. Is also very dirty. Sheath silver is ripped and there are large areas missing revealing exposed wood. Blade has nibbles to the edge conducive with age, use and wear. The collar has general wear, surface scratching, etc. There is some - what appears to be solder and the end is slightly askew but it looks as though that has been done more during manufacturing than a later repair. Has general wear and tear, splitting and dirt conducive with age and use. The nodding head netsuke - has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include dirt, knocks, bumps, splitting etc. See images for more details.
A 19th Century Meiji period Tokyo School ivory okimono as a woman in robes with branch of flowers in her left hand, a pair of scissors in her right, signed to base, 26.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Yellowing, browning and staining. Hand carrying the flower branch is broken off and crudely reglued and is quite wobbly/loose. A few small splits and chips.
