Warranted” (Hill St B’ham, 1777-1808) lightly etched with crowned GR cypher, crowned R Arms and supporters, standing officer with sword, trophy, with scrolling and foliage, gilt hilt, the guard slotted with 3 loops each side, into pierced crowned GR cypher and knucklebow, to lion’s head pommel and backstrap, diced pronounced ivory grip (cracked) in its leather scabbard with brass locket and (replaced) chape. Basically GC, retaining approx 20% original gilt (blade some wear and light pitting, scabbard leather AF). Plate 5

QGC (lock AF and heavily pitted, worn overall). Plate 8

An unusual 19th century Burmese dha style dagger, single edged blade, very slightly swollen at point with maker’s mark at forte, ivory hilt deeply carved in the form of a seated stylized deity with child strapped to the back, and grotesque features, in its sheet silver covered sheath, en suite with lower band to hilt, with filigree border panels, the lower ones decorated with stylized filigree floral devices. Good Condition, a pleasing example. Plate 9
